Room-mates?
Lister sort of liked the little nostril-beds. They were comfortable, even if Stacey had a bad habit of throwing you out of them when she thought that you had slept enough.
But the bed that he's looking at now looks just as comfy, and it actually has clean sheets on it! And it's in it's own little room where he can actually leave his socks on the floor!
Happily, Lister throws his hat onto the other bed, flops down, and stretches out at his length. Ahhh, contentment.

He walked over to the other bed, put Fuyu's projection sphere down on the sheets temporarily (at least those seemed to be real), and tried to gauge if the man was awake or not.
"Hello?"
no subject
"Yo?" he responded somewhat lazily, opening the other eye once he realised that there was actually someone else there.

"Pleased to meet you," Zouichi said. "I am Kanoe Zouichi, a Toha Heavy Industries Synthetic Human."
no subject
Lister pushed himself upright on the bed, and leant against the squashy headboard.
"Dave Lister," he answered, "Synthetic Human? That like a mechanoid?"
no subject
"Synthetic Humans are humanoid organisms created in a company laboratory using organic and non-biological components," he said. "However, I'm not familiar with 'mechanoids'. Are they similar?"
"And are there any... less squishy accommodations aboard the ship?"
no subject
"Less squishy? Wouldn't have really thought so, though you might find some in the City. Nothing wrong with a bit of squish sometimes."
Then Lister's brain catches up. "Hang on, you saying you've got bits of human in you?"
no subject
Zouichi frowned a little, trying to figure out a way to explain as simply as possible. "No, not really. I'm designed to appear human to an outside observer, but the organic components used to construct me were synthesized and don't have much in common with the compounds that make up the human body. Please be assured that no humans were harmed in my creation."
