Just a cheerer, not a doctor [Open, bendytimed to just after darksoul fight]
Starfire had to consider herself fairly lucky. Yes, they had damaged parts of the City, and she would have to find Beast Boy as soon as she was cleared to leave and comfort him, but it was over and no one had died. Her dear friend would be all right.
Even she would be all right soon. The burns on her arms and legs were somewhat extensive, but with some care they had healed nicely, protected by wrappings. The other change was in her hair, now sporting an uneven cut and coming to just below her shoulder blades due to burn damage.
Ordered to stay in bed, she satisfied herself by rebelliously floating up under the blankets, seeing how far she could go before being told to touch back down. It didn't hurt too much anymore, luckily. The pain was more of a phantom than a physical reality by this point.
"When will I be allowed to leave?" Starfire was impatient. Her body was healed enough, so she felt the calling to begin the emotional healing.

Still, he had not allowed himself to be frightened off by its alien nature, though he had become unwittingly rude simply by virtue of wandering past, staring about. No sooner had he noticed the young lady in the bed, though, then he started, then smiled ruefully. "My apologies. I hadn't meant to intrude."

"I have not seen you before. Are you a new arrival?"
no subject
Such thoughts were, however, driven back by the sight of her pain. "May I ask what happened?" he said with a slight frown.

She didn't mind explaining things to him. Someone would have to, and she was right here! "One of our crew members has a dark spirit inside him," she started to say. "He had an exorcist attempt to remove it, but it broke away from them and started possessing others. It seized my friend Beast Boy," she sighed, still remembering how frightening that was. "I fought to keep him from hurting himself or others, but the spirit gave him the ability to channel a powerful fire."
And that explained the burns.

He reflected on this for a moment. "You must be lucky. Not to discount your wounds, but such a creature ought to cause far more harm than you've endured."
no subject
That pain was gone now, at least. "I distracted him, and my body is more difficult to damage than a human's. We fought until one of the exorcists found us, and then he was safe. After that, we arrived here."

He tapped the bar with his wand, and abruptly there were two. Pocketing one bar and the wand, he moved over to offer her the other bar.

fff so sorry I lost this one!
You grabbed an earlier one in the thread, too. But it works!
I'm sorry!
It's okay! I am sorry for slow.
So am I!

"Ohman. You're all right, right? I mean, mostly?"

Starfire wondered if even the very best heroes with the ability to be in multiple places at once were capable of having a perfect record.
"I am glad that you are safe."

"You are helping at this moment," she assured him.

Still, there were some interesting things he hadn't ever even seen the Gnomish medical teams using. He made it a job to touch almost every odd object, pick it up, sometimes shake it and even place it against his ear.
He held a clipboard, now, and pressed the lever again and again, smiling at the clacking noise as he eyed the area. Wait. What was that, back over on the bed? Covered in all those wrappings...was that a Ghoul? It sure looked like it!
He dropped the clipboard back on a table and hurriedly walked over to the...Ghoul...in the bed.
"Hi!" the elf said cheerily, "I didn't know they would bring the Lich King's minions here, too!"
no subject
She surely didn't expect what came out of his mouth.
"I am not a minion," she shook her head, "unless Lord Zetta has misinformed you. But I do not believe Lich King is one of his titles."
There was no upset in her voice, just earnest confusion.

He eyed the girl curiously, lips pushed up in thought. "I thought you were a Ghoul." He leaned forward, sniffed a few times then shook his head. "You smell like Purple Lotus. Ghouls don't smell like that," he said plainly, as if he did such things everyday.
no subject
She cocked her head, still wondering. "I am a Tamaranean, not a ghoul. What are these ghouls like?"
She would have to investigate this purple lotus scent later. The name sounded nice.
no subject
Tamaranean, though? The word conjured up thoughts of some delicious, exotic fruit. Or undersea creature, but he decided that fruit seemed more fitting.
"Ghouls are people who were killed and raised as undead. I've seen a lot of Death Knights or spellcasters that have them as...pets, I guess?" He craned his head back, eyes focused on the ceiling.
"I don't know, they don't seem like they treat them nice enough to be considered pets. Minions."
no subject
"I am not undead or a minion," Starfire explained, "though I have come close to becoming both."
She looked sorry for the ghouls. "How do I appear similar to one?"
no subject
He dropped his gaze back down to look at her, an unconcerned smile touching his lips. "And I've never seen anything but demons, flowers, undead and fruit with such a crisp orange color."
Does being compared to a fruit and a demon in the same sentence make it a compliment or an insult?
no subject
She considered the comparison for the moment. "I am not any of those things," she said with a laugh, not seeming to mind. "I am merely what I am, as you are."
