Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 3] [Closed]

[[OOC: Closed to the people on the exorcist list but please do not comment until Daimon sends for them.]]

After possibly hours of chasing after his darksoul, Daimon came to a stop in front of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. He could sense its presence inside but why? Why return to a site that, though uprooted from its world, still held strong spiritual power? Daimon could think of several reasons. The darksoul might have returned to mock his faith- highly likely. There was another possibility, one that was not precluded by the other.

The darksoul chose this place to take a stand, to exercise his full power. In which case he was now in the Vatican to show that he had the power to withstand any future attacks. It was a warning- enter at your own risk.

Daimon opened the door and stepped inside. He thought he was prepared for whatever faced him next. He could not be more mistaken.

The round of rock salt hurt, and the holy water sizzled most uncomfortably.

On the other hand, if this had been a wet t-shirt contest, Dark(en)souled Patsy would most definitely have been winning.

The Darksoul tried to drown out the voices, to gain some sort of control over the literal hell that was being wrought over it, but it was a near impossibility.

That didn't stop it from doing a few half-assed attempts at attacking the exorcists with soulfire, though.

What it didn't expect was for that last attempt to wipe out the rest of its energy as it tried to hold on to Patsy's body.

Another noxious cloud of smoke surrounded Patsy, the Darksoul screamed, it's voice mingling with Patsy's one last time as it was wrenched from her body, leaving Patsy laying on the ground, unconscious breathing laboriously.

Dean jerked his head at that as he stopped chanting for a moment.

"Ok so what now? Guessing this son of a bitch can't be bound by just a Devil's Trap, right? Can't gank it either so got something to bind him?"

Dean followed his line of sight, and then snorted a little with laughter.

Dean! He's right, but I don't like your thinking.

"Oh that's just too perfect, ain't it Sam?" He tossed a smirk toward his brother.

"Don't they deserve each other?"

Sam was still recovering from the fact that one of those half-assed attempts at Soulfire had hit him.

It was less the actual fire, though, than the fact that it hadn't actually hurt. Or touched him, as near as he could tell.

Sam patted himself down, finally catching up with the conversation enough to be able to follow Dean's line of sight. He paused, glancing to Dean and back again before a smile spread across his face. "Oh yeah. I don't think I could think of a more prefect vessel, actually." And yes, he chose the wording specifically.

Sam looked at the trident, then back at Daimon. "Do you need help moving that?" The tattoo seemed to have helped the entire time they'd been dealing with the Darksoul. And if Sam couldn't be harmed by the Soulfire...

At least that little bit of immunity was still coming in handy.

Celena watched on in the background as the Exorcists did their work, flinging up a shield to deflect one of the outbursts of soulfire. She watched on otherwise silently as they managed to free the girl of the demon.

The dragon noting their discussion and the statue they referred to before scanning the area for any sign of the spirit, her eyes aglow as she utilized her 'sight'. "I will do my best to defend against its attacks while those of you who can work to seal it,"
