Exhaustion [Open]
The first thing that Asuka had done was open a comm post to see how long it had been. Then she'd learned she'd been gone for months. Precious, valuable months spent running mazes (she couldn't exactly remember it all - it was a blur, like a dream). She was probably left behind by now! So, the third thing she'd done was gone straight to the Sensoriums and started flying. She'd done combat scenarios, cold starts, everything that she'd learned before, she'd done over and over again, trying to improve her reaction times, trying to master the controls.
There was no way in Hell she was going to be the worst pilot in the squadron. She was going to be the best. Which was why she'd just gone for a day or so without sleep and was more then a little bit exhausted.
And still flying a simulated X-Wing.
You couldn't fault her dedication.

"Who told you you could just barge in like that?"
no subject
"Um, are you alright? You seem kind of...tense."
no subject
"I'm fine. No thanks to you."
no subject
"Alright. Sorry I disturbed you. For what it's worth, you seem to be piloting really well anyway, even with me distracting you." As much as Asuka's attitude was beginning to grate on him, Sho was still a little concerned with how on edge she was. He wouldn't leave quite yet.

Arrogance, thy name is Asuka.

"Oh yeah, I can tell. I don't really know anything about flying, but like I said, you looked good. You must practice a lot to be the best."

"If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you become a pilot? Talent or not, I don't think there are many people who would let someone your age into combat, at least not where I'm from."

She grinned widely, settling her hands on her hips. "And I was one of the best! I graduated from college at age fourteen! My Eva unit was the first combat-purpose one built!"
Her expression turned sour, "Then I ended up here and now I fly X-Wings. They're different, but I'm still good at it."

Then Asuka mentioned something that really peaked his interest though. "An Eva Unit?" Sho asks, staring at Asuka very intently. "Is that anything like a Guyver Unit? Were you... you weren't fighting zoanoids, were you?"

"A Guyver Unit? Oh, uh, it's just something from my world. It's nothing..." He sighs and looks away nervously, thinking. Things were already weird enough around here. It wouldn't hurt if he just told someone.
"Okay, it's not nothing. A Guyver Unit is this kind of alien Bio-Armor that bonds to you and turns you into a Guyver. And, I'm a Guyver..." Sho trails off, not sure of what Asuka's reaction would be.

Sho walks a few meters away from Asuka and turns to face her. He takes a deep breath and looks upwards.
"GUYVER!"
The nodules on Sho's back glow. A destructive sphere of energy forms around Sho and the Guyver armor appears behind him. It encases itself around Sho's body, thousands of tendrils wrapping around his limbs. The helmet fits itself over Sho's head, antenna bending upwards, head sensors moving, exhaust ports shooting out steam and control medal shining.
Sho turns his head slightly towards Asuka, his eyes glowing faintly. "Here it is." He says, his voice modulated by the bio-boosted armor.

"It would be useful if the Guyver could get larger. Not that size is everything. My mega smasher can usually handle whatever I'm facing. So, how big's an Eva Unit? I guess it's not like a Guyver Unit then."
no subject
She turned on her heel to peer up at it, a small (tired) grin on her face. Even if she was flying an X-Wing, her first love would always be her Eva.
no subject
"...Okay, my mega smasher might have some trouble with that. There's definitely no zoanoid that big. Do Angels get that big?"
no subject
"Oh, bigger. And I had to fight them."
So casual, Asuka.
no subject
"Well, at least neither of us have to fight any zoanoids or angels now. Just universe destroying aliens." He says sarcastically. "It was nice meeting you, Asuka-san. Don't work yourself too hard." Sho turns to head for the exit, but looks back one more time.
"And, hey, thanks."
