Same Ol' Parker Luck [Open]
No, no, no... it's just an accident. She's around here somewhere...!
That's all that was on Peter's mind as he searched the ship for Mary Jane. He knew she was here. He knew she was still a part of the group. She couldn't have just upped and vanished. Her last message had pointed her in the direction of the clothing store, but beyond seeing a tiny little girl, no sign of his red-headed wife.
Swinging across the City, he called out his name, hoping for some sort of answer and... none. Nothing. Just as fast as she came, she was gone. It was if the ship played a cruel joke on him - brought Mary Jane out to raise his spirits, then yank her away to shatter them.
Landing by one of the wrecked buildings, Peter slowly seethed before turning his anger on a nearby wall, his enhanced strength leveling.
"Bring her back! Bring her back, damn you!" he roared in anger, not caring if Stacy could or couldn't hear her. Slumping to his knees, he tried his best not to break down. It wasn't enough to know she was still alive. He would rather have her here with him...

Billy was startled out of his walk from checking on the bathhouse. He'd have to investigate something else before returning to work. If the Rangers' reclusive mentor was in trouble, he should know.
When he arrived on the scene, he saw the grief there plain as day, and the comments made the reason clear. "Stacy ripped away another important person, didn't she?" Billy asked sadly.
He kept his distance for the time being, waiting to learn more.

"...I went through a lot of crap before this went down. I thought her dead, only to have her in the hands of a nutcase. Then she decided to get separated for a while before we really got back together. Then all of this and..." He shook his head, calming down. "...I used to think the universe hated me. Now I'm certain - it's the whole friggin' omniverse!"

"Sometimes I've felt that the ship's been playing with my emotions as if on a chain, but it was nothing like that," he said quietly. "I'm sorry, Peter. That's...I can understand how it would almost be worse than never seeing her at all."

"Web-Head?" he asked. "You, ah, you okay?"
