A hero is a terrible thing to waste
It was raining, she had opened a door and it was raining.
Something entirely too strange to ignore.
Sandy had inadvertently stumbled upon the Sensoriums like so many newly awakened pod poppers. And like most of them the first thing it had summoned up was memories of the homeworld. The place long gone thanks to the Ohm.
Sandy entered carefully feeling the rain on her skin. It was both familiar and yet peculiar as she'd gone an entire week without rain from her point of view.
But in this New York it always rained.
The door closed behind her and Sandy began waling down familiar roads and streets in an empty and creepy city. The rain pouring down from above in a dark and cloudy skies.
"Oh crap..." Her voice was soft and apprehensive as each step brought her closer to the scene she knew was waiting for her. She didn't want to see it, but she couldn't stop herself.
And there it was, a crowd of people gathered around, and an old man dressed in a tight suit being smacked around by other old men in strange costumes.
One of them had a boy impaled on a knife.
And there was Sandy in the middle of it all, eyes wide absorbing every drop of violence as the men beat the old hero senseless.
She was witnessing the death of spider-man for a second time.
"It's not real, it's not real!" She told herself over and over again finding herself rooted to the spot.

T_T Spidey! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The sudden change of his surroundings definitely helped as he too entered the Sensorium, eyes widening at the sight of what was happening. The sheer brutality had been too much, stopping Judau in his tracks as he saw the superhero continue to be beaten so violently. If ever a time Judau had wanted to jump in, now had been the time to do so.
"What the hell is going on!?" he muttered, rage slowly getting to him, mixed with shock. Glancing at the corner of a voice, he realized that was the presence he had felt suffering this entire time. Wasting no time, he ran towards her, kneeling down and grabbing her shoulders. "Hey! What the hell is going on here!? This some kinda hologram or something!?"
Hahahaha it's canon in her verse!
Sandy simply looked up at the newcomer in stunned confused silence. He wasn't part of her memory, he didn't belong here.
This is pure evil! T_T
In that case, anything he did might be a waste. And what could one person alone do to a man made of sand? Even if Judau had his gun on him, what could it possibly do? The only weapon remotely useful would have been the ZZ itself!
"This isn't real!" he said to the girl. "I don't know what the hell this is all of this exactly, but whatever it is, you may have the power to get rid of it! You are in control here!"

"This...is hopeless." She began to back away from the crowd and turn to run, much like she had the first time darting off into the rain soaked streets of the dark and dangerous looking city as red beams of light began to race across the sky in a web.

Already, he was cursing this place's technology for doing this.
"If this is tech..." Judau stared up at the sky, glaring at the source of it all, if he could. Where there was technology around, there was always an off switch. Finding it though...sometimes that could be a problem. Nevertheless, there was one person on this ship that should know such a simple answer. "Jessy, Stacy, whoever the hell you are, shut this thing off! Or just tell me where the damn off switch is!"

And then summoned forth by further thoughts of doom and gloom, black shapes, teeth and empty white eyes.
"The Angels." She stumbled to a stop and spun about running away from the monstrous form that rose from the darkness. They were like something between liquid and solid as they roared and gave chase like a pack of wolves made of pure black muscle.
There was that person again, the one not from her memory. If she could just outrun him maybe the monsters would lose interest in her and focus on the slower target.
She shot past Judau with a breathless, "Run." darting down an alleyway as the Symbiote monsters charged.
Where is this comic/canon stuff? It sounds really interesting!
At least until he the blobs of Symbiotes swarming towards him and Sandy. Their presence unnerved Judau, already sensing how much fear they could put into Sandy. He could only imagine what they were capable of with those teeth, and he wasn't about to stick around to find out!
He gulped, turning on his heel and darting right behind Sandy. Despite his lack of exercise, save for piloting a mobile suit and the work he did on Shangri-La, he managed to catch up to her, if only barely. There had been so much fear and panic coming from the young girl. Maybe she had been the off switch, the only one to dispel this hellish nightmare and revert it back to the normal plant-ship, thingy. There was little time for thinking of anything else, and it had been more of a gut-feeling.
Doing his best to keep up with Sandy, all the while noting in his mind to work out from now on when not working on the ZZ, he looked over again at the girl. "Okay, I am officially running out of ideas. I don't how or why you summoned this little memory or death course, but can't you think of something else a bit more pleasant? Sandy beaches? Junkyard? Santa Claus? Anything aside from being here with...whatever those things are!?"
Perhaps Judau had been a tad too harsh with his words, but he wasn't waiting to figure out what a Symbiote could do to him. Just the thought of their teeth, something he continued to question, raking through his skin like a shark...The mere thought was the only thing keeping him running now.

"O-ok...OK I need a good memory." She muttered as she spun about and realized a symbiote was baring down on her. "GO AWAY!" She shrieked.
And then...silence. Dry warmth.
She opened her eyes, shaking like a leaf. They were alone now, inside a run down church. The rain pattered down outside but inside this building...they were safe for now.
"How...did I do that?"
OH! Reign! Wow, I remember looking that up when I was playing Web of Shadows and on a forum! XD
And the atmosphere had suddenly changed, and into a church nonetheless. Judau had nearly stopped in his tracks at the sight of it. Not much of an improvement, but it was certainly leagues better than what had happened earlier. His feet did not stop however, and he fell over one of the church pews, landing on his back.
He yelped, arm rising to grab the object to pick himself up after that embarassing display. "Oww....At least that gamble actually paid off," he said, trying to get a small smile out of himself. "So then, any more of those creepy-crawlies gonna come in here?"
Ah web of shadows, so much fun 8D
Indeed! I currently have the DS one now. XD
I'm looking forward to that one!
And I just beat it a couple of minutes ago. Game is surprisingly short. O_o
Aw that's no fun! I'm playing Cave Story right now.
It's a shame too, since the gameplay is pretty good. Onto Shattered Dimensions for the DS then.
Hope it's good, I'll be picking it up like, next month.
Shattered Dimensions is pretty decent, but slows down sometimes. Maybe it's because I am using a rom
I'm looking forward to Spider-man Noir. I love a Noir setting and want to read the comics too.
Noir on the DS is actually my favorite thus far. He can't crawl on walls, yet, but his moves are fun

Hearing Sandy's shout, he acted quickly, bursting through the entryway, and saw the girl's terror.
"Stacy! Shut it off!"

Oh hey Peter you're between her and the door, and she just took off running for it like a bullet. Might wanna slow her down or get out of the way.

"Sandy? Hold up and calm down. Everything's fine."

For a scrawny little kid she sure hit like a linebacker...well a linebacker for someone her size. Still against Peter she took more force from the blow and fell over hard looking around nervously like she expected the world to appear again and swallow her up.
"What. Was. That?" She asked, though her face betrayed fear her voice was hard and angry.

It's not real, she hears someone in the midst of the fight saying. "You're right, it's not! Whosever's head this is, this isn't real!" she shouts. She sees Sandy, looking terrified, and rushes over. "It's not real, it's a projection!"

"He was supposed to save us. But he's just an old man now." She muttered as the heroes mask was ripped off revealing a possibly dead old man's face, soaked with rain and sweat and blood.

And...oddly enough as the world began to calm and melt away the young girl turned to solid stone.

She sees Sandy guarding her face and drops her arms down by her sides unthreateningly.
