Exploring the Hangar

Setsuna had shown her the way to the hangar after she had woken up on this ship and now she was going to look over the Virtue and 00 Raiser. If the suits were there, then she could take a look over them and make sure that they were indeed fully repaired and ready to fight if they were needed. She was also curious about these other 'Gundams' and wanted to see just what they looked like and possibly meet some of the other pilots.

She didn't have the Red Haro with her as she walked into the hangar and looked around. She spotted Exia, the 00 Raiser and Virtue immediately. They were familiar to her since she had worked on them before. She didn't recognize any of the other suits in the hangar. They were different than what she was used to seeing. They had similar builds to the Gundams that she knew, but they were all different.

She nodded. She did work with Tieria and Setsuna, but in a different way than he probably thought. She wasn't a pilot, but worked on the bridge.

"I do work with Tieria and Setsuna," she said. "My name is Feldt Grace."

"Kira Yamato," he offered politely. "...I'm the head of our mobile suit squadron here on the ship." At least, in theory. Her coworkers still hadn't joined up.

"I'm not a pilot, I'm a tactical officer," she said, hoping that would explain things a bit. "I also know how to work on these three suits."

She motioned to Exia, 00 Raiser, and Virtue.

Ah, a bridge officer then. "That's good," he gave a small smile. "We could use crew like you." Kira followed her gesture to the three mobile suits. "...and they haven't let anyone else work on them yet, so they'll probably be grateful for that as well."

She nodded, glad that they hadn't let anyone else look at the suits. She wondered if Kira or anyone else knew about Celestial Being's rules of secrecy.

"I was going to give them a look over before talking with Setsuna and Tieria again."

Oh, believe him, Feldt - he did. He'd heard it before. At length.

"It seems they've been doing all the work themselves, so I'm sure they'd be grateful."

Kira paused. "So you're with that organization too? Celestial Being?"

She nodded. She had grown up in Celestial Being. She had been around Gundams and Haros for all of her life.

"I'm sure they'll be glad that someone else is taking a look. Someone that they know that they can trust."

Another pause. "...I understand that. But don't you think that we should all be able to trust each other here? After all, it's not like the organizations we fought for exist anymore - we're on the same side now."

"I know that we're all supposed to be working together, but that's not something we're used to doing," she said. It was the truth. They were used to working on their own. Most of the people they had worked with betrayed them.

She met his gaze. "Still, we're not used to working with others. I grew up in Celestial Being. It's against our beliefs to engage in war."

But they had the Gundams. What were they if not a weapon of war? "It's a nice sentiment," he allowed, "And I wish more people would follow it. But are you saying you won't even fight to survive?"
