Meet N' Greet

Part of the crew might be gone, but life on the ship goes on. In fact, new people have woken up and, eventually, they've been spat out into the mess hall.

Maybe it's better to introduce them to some of the worst aspects of ship life first, right?

Anyway, the word is out that there's new people, and someone should probably go say hello. Before the n00bs mistake the glop for crew.

"Yeah. I can see that," says Grif. "What's wrong with yours, is it strawberry flavored or something?"

"Medical condition," Chris says, with a weak smile. He does look rather unhealthy, come to think of it... "I guess this is what it looks like when you put a dozen specialty medications in..."

Heck of a medical condition.

"Huh. Right." Grif takes a bite of the slop, grimaces, and swallows it. Blech.

"How long you been here, kid?"

"A month, maybe, I think. Things seem kind of... twisty here, and there's no clocks around..." He's delaying eating any of his own glop.

"Oh, great, so it's going to be a while then. Figures," Grif huffs.

"Are you sure this stuff hasn't killed anybody yet?"

"Not that I know of." He shrugs lightly. "But all the crazy other stuff's chopped at least one guy. Giant bugs everywhere, the other people got rid of them, but I wouldn't be sure that something else won't happen..."

"Oh, giant bugs, even better." Grif snorts. "Any aliens yet? Because that's totally what this place looks like it's for. Aliens. Really ugly aliens."

"Well, there are werewolves, if that counts." Chris squints a little. "Careful, they like to try and eat people..."

"Werewolves. Right. I'll believe it when I see it," says Grif, rolling his eyes. Clearly, he thinks Chris is just messing with him.

"No, it's true. And they've decided I'm a vampire, for some reason." He slouches softly. He's got the paleness for it, but he seems kinda... wimpy... to be a bloodsucking monster of the night...
