Just a Little Bit Closer, Just a Little Warmer [Closed to Steve]
Miku didn't like the observation deck anymore. Ever since the Punishment had occurred, she couldn't stay very long without hearing things that had been past days ago. She figured it was probably worse because it was "newer" than the events that had already happened on the ship.
Regardless, the moment she heard Stacy's voice quietly admonishing Big Zero for her actions in that cold voice of hers, Miku started to hurry across the deck like someone had lit her on fire.
Anywhere would be better than hearing or seeing this. Anywhere at all. She pointedly kept her eyes on her the ground to avoid seeing any of the Punishment again. Once was enough. Once was more than enough.

"Come on, Miku... tell me! I'll tell you something if you do. Anything you want to ask."
The Face continued pouting her into oblivion even as he negotiated.

"Well... I still don't want to become a space janitor. But that's good news if I ever do," he joked, sighing and leaning back against the tree. He just kind of wished it was a little more cushioned. Maybe a hammock would work.

"Do what you like. You don't ever object to my working with the magic department, not that my abilities are really all that magical..." she shrugged slightly. "Even if I don't understand what you're talking about, as long as you're happy then I am satisfied."

"At least the options are open. I actually-- I'm proud of you being in the magic department."

She paused for a moment, "I don't think I'll ever get used to explaining my abilities."

"Don't worry. It makes sense to me, mostly. And if anybody thinks you're weird, I can always cut in and tell them I bleed fire and see what that does."

...Whoops, that wasn't supposed to have slipped out. "Er... help plan for the dance!" SAVED!

But he gave her her little victory anyway. "You're gonna help plan the dance?" he asked, his face lighting up very subtly. "I didn't even ask you to go yet, but... I wasn't sure if you'd want to."

"I didn't really know anything about it, so I thought it would be nice to help. And learn. Your country's traditions are weird. Nice, but a bit weird." Said the same girl planning her own Adult's Day ceremony.

Steve turned a little bit red after that. "I, uh. I never got to go to my senior prom. So believe it or not, I'm really kind of excited about it."

Also, there was that little voice in the back of her head positively giddy at the idea of Steve all dressed up.
