When he had decided to relax a little and read a bit, he hadn't expected someone to come along with him, such as one of his newer friends. So deciding to make a day of it, Ed had created a simulation in the sensoriums of Central, and had come up with a little cafe that had been recommended to him.

"Is this okay?" inquired Ed curiously of his companion. "Didn't want to overdo it or anything."

"...They're two different colors; what's special about that?" Despite her questioning statement, Asuna's cheeks flushed crimson at his compliment. A huge difference between Ed and Negi? Age, obviously.

Their hearts couldn't have been any closer in how much they cared for others, though.

"It matches," said Ed honestly, still holding her close with one arm in a sort of gallant heroic pose. "Your eyes reflect how deep your personality are. I would think you got a lot of compliments about them in your time."

"Really?" Asuna couldn't recall any compliments she'd gotten about her eyes at the moment, but did they really matter at this point? Her heart was beating really fast, cheeks still flushed crimson while wrapping her arms around his neck.

Ed blushed a little. "Yes really. I really do like your eyes. It's what admittedly drew me to you."

There, he said it. He had felt the pang of Winry not really being there, and as much as he hated to admit it, he needed a tough girl in his life.

"..." For once in her life, or at least since she arrived on the ship, Asuna was speechless. For at least a few seconds.

"...You baka Edward!" The girl did her best to wipe away any tears that threatened to roll down her face, finally receiving the answer she'd hoped for. She could continue to look after Negi as his knight while at the same time, keep on falling for the slightly older than her Alchemist.

Ed chuckled. "I'm going to look up baka one of these days," he admitted, pulling her into a hug. "Sorry though for springing this on you. I didn't want you to push me away for being too forward."

"It means 'idiot.'" Asuna embraced Ed herself, lightly nodding while holding onto him tightly. "It's okay; as long as you don't break up with me 'cause I'm too good for you or something like that."

Ed laughed lightly. "Now why would I want to do that?" he chided, hugging her back.

"Baka... I like it better than idiot anyhow. Rolls off the tongue."

"'Course it does; why do you think I've called Negi that all this time?" Asuna pulled back and kissed Ed gently before gracing him with a smile.

"Now, about that walk you promised me...?"
