Off to work
||Attention, Attention,|| Stacy's voice rang out suddenly throughout the ship. ||Will the following personnel please report to the Obs Deck:||

Arrivals
To protect the world from devastation!
Still, he can and does adapt. Heading into a warzone to destroy an opposing force was practically his bread and butter for entirely too long. One thing nagged him, though, and he spoke up to anyone who might be willing to answer.
"What's a Node?"

Then he began a quick inventory of his supplies -- shifting wands about, reorganizing scrolls in his case, checking his staffs... The basic necessities of a wizard going to war. At the same time, he can't help but wonder just how out-of-place he'll be, amongst the others paged.

He looked over the details, and over the personnel groupings, and paused for a moment. "Holy shit... am I actually in charge of this mission?" As far as he knew, he was the only one there with any kind of rank or seniority.

"Hey Julian!" she greeted. "Do you know much about the mission? I'm going to probably be at a little bit of a disadvantage I guess, but I'll do what I can, ok? I was at least trained to deal with desert regions since leaving my world."

"Are we the Ambush/Recon team, then? Why not just bomb them into nonexistence?"

Here have the most manly Lash icon I have (I don't even)
Well, maybe not the world.
But man, the Ohm. She remembered the first time she fought them, over the faction, and how she had watched with fascination how Billy and the others had taken them down. And now, she realized she also had a similar power to do it. What was that? A tiny hint of a mischievous smile? She cracked her knuckles.
"Those Nodes whatever they are are gonna go splat!"
Re: Here have the most manly Lash icon I have (I don't even)
A small part of him really hopes that the rest of the team will have a cooler head about things. At least her haircut would help her stand out in a crowd.

Re: Arrivals
There was little desert in her home, but she knew that a giant beach with no water and a blazing hot sun was not that great of a place for her normally. Last time she had been off ship she had been offered something to keep her skin from the sun. "Stacy, will this mission be at night or shall I be wearing that suit you offered last time I went off-planet?"
Well, as weird as the thing looked, it was a combative mission. There was no time to concern oneself with aesthetics when lives were on the line. At the very least there was no node.
Re: Arrivals
||I don't know how long our opportunity to attack will last, so we don't have time to wait for nightfall.||
Re: Arrivals
Uh oh.
She could already see there were others, and definitely some familiar faces.
Mission Start
The doors to the Obs Deck close, and the whole room lurches slightly as the deck detaches from Stacy's main body, and after a moment, they're all weightless. They can see the planet through the window now, the brown landscape and orange clouds drawing ever closer.
It takes only a matter of minutes to reach the surface, and there's a slightly stronger lurch as the Obs Deck touches down, gravity returning to the room.
One of the massive walls opens up to form a ramp to the planet's surface, the rocky, windswept landscape and red-hued sky laid out before them.
||Ohm artillery appears to be most heavily concentrated about 1 klick northwest of your current position. I've marked it on your maps in your Omnicomms.||
||Good luck.||

Re: Mission Start
«Loud and clear.» Julian was just a touch more sensitive than most other people to comm rings. «Watch the volume.»
«Here's the deal, the webhead is on the advance scout team, and take the werewolf with you. Get a look at what we're up against, and keep the comms open at all times.» Though he had a feeling he was going to regret that last order.
«Where's the elf?»
