Cruising for a bruising

Big Zero had mostly kept to herself. She was busy plotting certain people's demise and reprogramming. A big part of dropping off the radar was simply for safety reasons. But when she went out she spent time in the Special Weapons Lab working on, well, things that weren't weapons. She wasn't that stupid. If she didn't give them a good reason, they couldn't refuse a member of the crew. Certainly not someone as productive as she was.

So with all the confidence of someone with antisocial/narcissist personality disorder, she strolled into the lab and quickly started work on Egghead mark II. Frankly, it was a lot harder building the damn thing from scratch.

And the moment she spotted him, Big Zero had just one thing to say. "Oh Jesus fucking Christ! How many of you talking animal things are there on this ship?"

Kang stopped, quirking an eyebrow ridge, and took a closer look at the woman. He had a good guess as to who she was from what she'd just said, and the look on her face. "I'm guessing you're Big Zero."

Well, damn.

"My reputation precedes me, I see." Now that was something to take pride in.

Of course she'd take pride in something like that. Holding back a snort, Kang smiled, somewhat amused, "Not necessarily a good thing."

"People talking about me? Means I'm succeeding." Could you squeeze any more arrogance into this person? "So what's your deal, lizard man?"

That particular insult never failed to make Kang's scales twitch, but he kept control of himself, not losing the smile, "If you're going to insult me, you need to try harder than that. You're not the first to call me such, and I'm sure you won't be the last."

"Whatever, lizard. So do you have anything down there? You know." She pointed at her crotch. "Between your scaley legs."

[governorkang]

"Ask the right draconian, and he'd probably be happy to show you. Unfortunately for you, I'm not attracted to humans." Kang barely held back from rolling his eyes.

She made a face. "Gross. Whoever said I wanted to screw you? I'm curious. You know, if you're compensating for anything."

At that, Kang laughed, "Is that really the best you can do? I knew far better insults before I was two."

Big Zero frowned for a moment. "Not an insult, shithead. We'll move onto those later."

"As amusing as it sounds to see how lacking in creativity you really are, I can think of far better things to be doing with my time. If you're actually willing to put forth any effort, you can usually find me in the tavern." And with that, he turned and walked away casually, wings held at a cheerful height.

If he were human, he probably would have been whistling.
