Cruising for a bruising
Big Zero had mostly kept to herself. She was busy plotting certain people's demise and reprogramming. A big part of dropping off the radar was simply for safety reasons. But when she went out she spent time in the Special Weapons Lab working on, well, things that weren't weapons. She wasn't that stupid. If she didn't give them a good reason, they couldn't refuse a member of the crew. Certainly not someone as productive as she was.
So with all the confidence of someone with antisocial/narcissist personality disorder, she strolled into the lab and quickly started work on Egghead mark II. Frankly, it was a lot harder building the damn thing from scratch.
[[OOC: Big Zero post, standard warnings apply. Filthy language, Neo Nazi. Also she will probably be hitting Punishment this post so threads might have to be bendy timed a little (later ones go earlier). My tags will be slow as I have one paper to seriously work on starting tomorrow and I'm running in to pain issues today. Agh sorry for tl;dr]]

It's not until she gets closer that she hears the conversation taking place, and really feels the concern - and outright rage - building up. She's used to racism, even welcomes it some days because it gives her a justified reason to lash out at people, but there's no chance she'll ever welcome it directed at her son. Whether or not Marco can hold his own, and she's sure he can, she isn't going to let that slide. She walks briskly up next to Marco and plants herself at his side, arms crossed and back straight.
"Actually, you thought-deprived idiot, the Bank of the United States - an unofficial bank that you white Americans took to be official because you couldn't be bothered to read past the first five words on the plaque - failed in 1930 because the New York Clearing House refused to agree to a mutually beneficial merger because the Clearing House was full of racists and Anti-Semites who didn't want to help a bank that was rumored to be run by Jews. Would you like to guess what happened then? Panic and a carnival of breadlines and hopelessness, due to simple-minded, backwards, self-sabotaging idiocy like yours," she says, not even bothering to hide her slight accent. "Introductory American Economic History, you dolt."

Though, he wasn't really happy about having Eva show up. He could deal with idiots directing racist comments at him, but his mom? That was different.

She smirks at her son, but she can sense his discomfort at her involvement; she knows him that well. She just won't let his concern for her overrule her desire to interfere with anyone insulting him like that. "Oh, I did forget. The best way to learn about the world is from trashy misspelled pamphlets peddling scapegoats and your resident drop-out tattoo artist. I'm glad you remembered that for me."

He didn't know whether this chick could fight or not - but just in case, he got ready to start morphing if he needed to.

"We didn't steal anything from you, but you did a pretty good job robbing yourself or any dignity or standing you had in this conversation." Her voice is thick with rage. "And if you ever call my son anything again you'll regret it."

As long as Big Zero didn't bother them? He wasn't going to bother her.

The contorted expression that flies across her red face reveals that either the words or the effect they had on Marco hit a nerve.

And then she was going to shrink down to microscopic because whatever he was changing into she didn't want to be attacked by it.

She really hoped the situation wouldn't turn to violence, but now that it already had, she wouldn't really mind adding some hurt of her own to Big Zero.

She laughed. "Pretty interesting power you got there."

"Oh, are you wanting a conversation now?" he said, sneering at Big Zero. Inwardly he cursed himself for morphing, but he knew that he'd gotten nowhere near bar enough for Big Zero to be able to actually identify what had really been happening. "Sorry, but even if I felt like explaining to a moronic bitch like you, there's be all those 'big words' and 'difficult concepts' that your poor pathetic brain wouldn't be able to handle."

"You," she growls as she rushes in, "you are not allowed to take your pathetic little inferiority complex out on my son."
And with that she swings a forceful and surprisingly competent right-cross at Big Zero's nose.

Except the blow never landed, because Stacy pulled them both apart with her tentacles. ||Eva, Big Zero, you have each received one Violation for fighting,|| Stacy said.
