Faster, faster faster! The world was a blur of color around him.

Sure the colors were mostly muted and dark, empty buildings and such but that didn't matter.

All that mattered was Beastboy had energy to burn and some hardcore parkour was the ticket. Up the fire escape in monkey form, powerful arms propelling him up over the side of the building into wolf form racing, claws scraping along the stone to the edge.

The leap was graceful and made his stomach flip. Even knowing he could shift into a flying creature and save himself if he missed it didn't make the loss of gravity any easier.

He hit the next building too hard and shifted into armadillo form bouncing and rolling along the ground protected by a hardened shell.

Unfortunately blindness came with this protection and he bounced clean off the other side of the building. He shifted back mid fall and let out a yelp before shifting into monkey form again and grabbing hold of a window pole flinging himself through the air and shifting to hawk form.

That would have been so cool if I'd meant to do it.

Continuing the push for adrenaline Beastboy raced about the city in various animal forms exploring at a near frantic pace.

Training was a lot of work. It meant getting up early, eating only what she could for a mild breakfast, and then starting off on a long run through the City. She was a little winded fifty minutes into her jog, but she kept moving, knowing that in the long run, it would help her out in the training sessions on the ship.

Laurie recognized the green of the green horse. She smiled and gave a wave, slowing her quick-paced jog into a light one.

Laurie laughed softly at the joke. "Yes."

[identity profile] terribly2shy.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"That was pretty scary," Laurie said. "But at least they have everything under control now." She turned her head to him, swiping her ponytail over her shoulder.

Laurie put a hand to her mouth to hide her smile. Beastboy was really a very comical person. She stopped and bent over, taking his hand and helping him up. "Really?"

Marco eyed the shifting green thing leaping about the city as he walked back to Cassie's house. The last time he'd encountered it, the thing had turned into a tiger on him - it may be some harmless animal at the moment, but he knew that might not last long.

Keeping it an eye on it, Marco pretended everything was normal and just kept walking - if he ignored it, it might ignore him. But if he started morphing? It might interpret that as a threat.
livestoannoy: (Snigger)

[personal profile] livestoannoy 2010-11-12 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Marco took note of the way the green thing kicked the soda machine - the thing must have some intelligence, even if it wasn't smart enough to consider what happens when you shake a bunch of soda cans. Suppressing a snigger, Marco tried to use this distracted to get out of the thing's sight.
livestoannoy: (Ax they're everyone's minutes.)

Once round the corner, Marco didn't stop being alert. He was half tempted to morph, but out in the open like this that was too risky. It was a good thing he kept an eye out though, because otherwise he might not have spotted the green dog slinking after him.

Seriously, was thing thing trying to get on his nerves? He'd been a dog - he knew what it looked like when they were tracking something, and Marco did not want some green freak following him back to Cassie's house. He glared at it, hoping it would go away.
livestoannoy: (...Dude)

So, the green thing could turn human as well - was this his normal form, or was that something else? "You mean that soda that you managed to get all over the concrete?" Marco said dryly. "You know, I think I'll pass. I like my soda better when it's not all over my face."

He moved to start walking again, although not in the direction of Cassie's house this time.
livestoannoy: (Heh)

Marco watched closely when he turned into a dog again (what, was he incapable of walking on human legs or something?!). Not even Cassie could morph as fast as this guy - but while he had speed, he also had his draw-backs. As far as Marco could tell, no matter what Beastboy changed into it was always green. He'd be tough in a fight, but useless for infiltration.

"Marco," he said back, with significantly less overfriendlyness. "And sure, you could use soda for hair spray, but then the if the ants find your head it'll all go horribly, horribly wrong."

Peter, crouching on a average, ordinary, non-living stone gargoyle, was blissfully unaware of the impending collision. Luckily for him, his spider-sense let him in on the the changeling's present trajectory, and the webslinger ducked, barley getting out of the hawk-formed Titan's way.

"BEAST BOY! Watch where you're going!"

"I'm not talking to you in bird form Beast Boy. My sanity is limited as it is."

"Sanity's relative. I still haven't gone as crazy as you are."
