Rein was feeling a little down and cramped. So what she liked to do other than eat during times of stress was to play music.

Heading to the sensoriums, she pulled up a garage band as she picked up a guitar and strummed it after sizing up. It was a good sound and she strummed it experimentally.

"Mmm, seems good to me," remarked Rein as the other instruments started to pick up a little and she strummed it, summoning a microphone.

And here she started to play, just belting out lyrics. There was little she didn't know about and her musical talent was good enough that she didn't sound terrible playing the song.

Sasami laughed as the song came to an end, brushing aside some of her bangs to look at Rein. "It was, wasn't it?"

Rein nodded as she lowered the guitar in her hands. "It's nice isn't it? Even in times of duress we can find time to enjoy ourselves. It's good with the bad."

Collapsing on the couch next to them, Rein popped a water open and offered the open bottle to Sasami.

"Oh... thank you!" Sasami said, taking the water. Sitting beside Rein and maneuvering her guitar to be propped up on the couch, she took a drink and nodded.

"You're right... I just wish others understood that."

"Mmmhmm," nodded Rein as she popped another water and sucked a little of it down. "People take themselves far too seriously on this ship, and a lot of them are workaholics to boot."

Rein kicked back and crossed her legs. "At the least, we're looking at a little downtime. This ship's like the Enterprise or something."

Sasami nodded. "I know we got a big job ahead of us, but... can't we settle down for even just a moment and try to make light of a good thing?"

"At the very least? We have a few things to look forward to..."

"That's what I think," agreed Rein. "Look at me. I don't do much in way of combat, only when we need to do it. But I'm really actually quite concerned with the way everyone wants to be serious a hundred percent of the time."

She sipped her water and sighed. "Perhaps we need something a little more entertaining."

Sasami looked down at her drink. She's right. Everyone was being serious. Even she was.

Rein nodded. "Back a while ago, there was a big karaoke thing at Kang's tavern. Maybe we could host another one? Just friends celebrating life."
