Cowabunga, largely due to having been in the Sensoriums all day, hadn't heard about the incident with Steve. He was currently engrossed in his project, and was using the Sensoriums to simulate it before making the attempt to contsruct it. Blueprints of the Tactical Arms IIL were pinned on the wall, while a three dimensional variant with an axe and rifle mode hung in the air in front of the Tauren.

"The transforming sections are still too flimsy..."

The sensoriums were, for Vita, a pretty interesting place. She liked entering them simply because...everytime she did, someone else had simulated a completely different kind of place.

This particular one seemed...odd, but somewhat familiar enough. Reminded her of the weapon labs in her world, just less filled with computers and the like.

"...so, you want a weapon that can transform both into a gun and an axe? Sounds clever." She remarked out loud. It sounded like the armed devices she knows, after all.

Vita nodded. "You mean the big robot things? Well, I guess they can use transforming weapons as well as us on the ground. Will this one be able to talk, too?"

She seemed to be completely serious about her question - and she was.

Vita blinked repeatedly in clear surprise. "Really? Armed devices, weapons that transform, normally have a mind of their own in mine. It's normal and not bad as such."

She shrugged. "Course, I don't know about the world you're from..."

Alex didn't often go to the sensoriums, but he had promised Zuko that he would keep practicing even outside the lessons.

He was getting ready do do just this when he walked in on a Tauren, an axe-rifle-thing and some blueprints.

Wait... "A-A Tauren?"

"Er..." Alex scratched at the back of his head nervously, a little surprised, as usual, to find something from video games existing on the ship. "I-I... w-well, uh, hi!" He laughed awkwardly. He still wasn't always good at explaining that he knew a persons' world because he had seen it through a screen.

Alex put his hands up, as if to show he was unarmed. "M-me? Naw, I-I was jus'..."

Alice, ever the more social of the two, skidded down Alex's leg and sniffed her way over to Cowabunga, and then began investigating his feet. "Alice! Wh-why d-do you? Ahhrgh!" He took a hesitant step forward and put his hand up to his face in mild frustration.

Choline had been in Hydroponics, trying to perfect her herb garden and trying to make some soap. The project had, so far, been a stinky, unmitigated disaster, so she'd wandered about, trying to find familiar faces.

Then she saw the tauren, and she smiled slightly. He might have been on the wrong side in Azeroth, but here, he was someone she knew and was comfortable around, if only for the fact that he was so familiar.

"And what are we building today, dear Bunga?"

[identity profile] tricks-of-trade.livejournal.com 2010-11-09 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"I dunno," Choline said. "Anything with 'cow' just seems kinda ... denigrating." She shrugged and craned her neck to get a better look.

"Well, it's a lot sturdier-looking than, say, one of the flying machines. That's for sure."

Her face drew serious. "I hope this means you won't be taking it out until you're confident it works."

Choline didn't trust machinery farther than she could throw it.

"You're a braver person than I, to be creating things and then flying around the Nether with them." She chuckled. "But instead of me being a bother, is there anything I can do that's useful?"
