Heavens On Fire [Open]

Setsuna had stayed, and once again observed the training session of Starfighter Command, but declined to participate. While he had taken time to observe everyone's performance, and had his red Haro record the entire exercise, his attention had been mostly focused on Blade Squad. No surprise there, since they were mobile suit pilots. Like himself.

No. Not like me, he thought to himself.

He was on the bridge of the simulated Quarter right now, and had commandeered one of the various consoles. His Haro was connected to one of them, and was playing back part of Blade Squad's performance in the exercise.

As a team, they did fine, though something was missing in the way they operated. What that was, however, was something Setsuna couldn't quite put his finger on. Perhaps it was just this false environment they were in.

Still, something about this didn't sit right with him, so he reviewed the footage, and largely ignored the goings on around him. Maybe if he watched it long enough, he'd be able to figure out

Duo shrugged. "Dunno yet. That's why I'm watchin'."

You didn't think he was gonna just kicks back and watch without getting something out of it, did ya?

"You should pay attention, too. You can learn a lot by watchin' a one on one dual."

"Oh, I already know that." Cowabunga answered. Happened enough back on Azeroth. It's not exactly a peaceful planet."

"Azeroth, huh. That where you're from, I take it?" Duo leaned back and grabbed some more popcorn himself. "Oh, we haven't really been acquainted outside the cockpit very well, huh?"

"Duo Maxwell! Nice to meetcha... again, or something like that." He stuck his hand back towards Cowabunga to shake.

"... what the hell is that guy talking about?" Yzak spoke between the two. Did Setsuna really say something about being a Gundam?

Duo shrugged. "Everyone's got their... personal beliefs. Don't think on it too hard," he grinned.

Boy, did he ever know about that.

"I wouldn't judge anyways. I don't think anyone on this ship, all present included, counts as completely sane." Cowabunga added, as he all of all people would know. You don't get a nickname like his unless you're a least a little unstable.

"Still, gotta wonder what the wolsh that even means."

"'parently you don't pilot a Gundam without bein' at least a little kooky either," Duo replied dryly.

He shrugged to the second part. "When I talked to him before, he spoke of it pretty reverently... My guess is it's what he's put his faith into- in one way or another."

Well, Duo knew (and surmised) quite a little bit more than that, but he wasn't one to spill somebody's guts for them.
