Danny, once again arriving back in the room after a long day of Rogue Squadron training. He collapsed on his bed without bothering to remove his flight-suit, waking Cujo, who leaped on to the bed, and licked at the ghost-boy's face.

"No boy, donw! Down1" Danny groaned and batted at the dog's head.

"Wow...you look like you had a rough day too," Dani said from the doorway before walking over to pick up Cujo.

"Squadrons had to do a Zokez battle sim. Not exactly the easiest thing ever." he replied.

"What's up?"

"Did you survive to the end?" Dani asked.

"...found out there's apparently people who can morph. You know, beyond the Andalites and that bird. Apparently the humans from there can too. Or at least a few of them."

"Kinda had to turn the X-Wing intangible a couple of times again. Doing something that big more than once always wears me out." H epushe dhimself up into a seated position.

"Okay, interesting, Doesn't really explain why your day was rough though."

"Well, it's better than crashing. But don't push yourself too hard, okay?"

"I figured it out because a bear that was chasing Tom and Iniss was Jake's cousin," she said. She...may have neglected to mention that whole thing. Not deliberately, of course. Just slipped her mind anytime she saw Danny.

"...okay, I'm completely lost right now."

"You know, Tom and Iniss? The whole Yeerk..." She paused, frowning. "...didn't I explain that?"

"No, I'm pretty sure you didn't. And despite memory lapses, something like that I would've actually remembered if you did., since I've been involved in every other thing with the Yeerks on board."

He gave her a slightly penetrating look. "What's been going on Danielle?"

Dani stared for a few moments. "...I...meant too. I guess I got too caught up and didn't."

"I met a Yeerk a few months ago. I'm actually one of the people whose been helping get the whole thing going for getting Yeerks actual bodies. I'm supposed to go to a Council hearing about it soon with Allen."

Danny sighed.

"...do the Andalites know there's a Yeerk on board? Because I can't imagine they'd be happy with one of them just walking around."

"They've known for months," Dani said. "All of the council know about him and Elfangor is on there. And there were others from their world there and the blonde lady around Elfangor a lot was there when Jake was talking to Iniss and Tom. So they should know and if they don't, that's everyone else deciding to keep them in the dark."

The halfa rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"You realize if you had actually told me about any of this earlier I would've helped right?"

"I know! It's just...well, he didn't want me to tell at first," Dani said. "I was gaining his trust still and I didn't want to ruin it. I could justify telling Allen because he knows the science stuff we needed. The only reason everyone knows now is because Tom's brother came to the ship and he knew about Iniss because he's farther in the timeline. Or he always knew. Either way, they grabbed him in an attempt to starve out Iniss and they freaked out when I saved him and Jake announced it on the comms he was around."

"And since then, it got kind of...crazy. Then I got nabbed by the crazy AI. SO I guess I never...got around to telling you I was involved. Sorry."

Danny ruffled her hair. "Okay, you don't really need to apologize for it. Not like I'm a shining example of openness. And I don't have that great a memory either."

Dani looked relieved at that. She was sure Danny would understand, of course, but there was a bit of worry that maybe he might not have. With how things have gone since she got involved, it was nice to know she didn't have any reason to doubt him.

"It's not like you're the Fort Knox of secrets either. You just had the one big secret, right?" Dani said, grinning back at him.

She paused. "Oh, I should probably mention it now. We're going to have someone sleeping over for the next few days."

"Okaay. Who exactly?" he asked.

"Well, Tom kind of needed a break from Iniss..." Dani started and pulled a small metal box from her pocket and opened the latch to show a Yeerk in a ziplock bag with water. "This is Iniss."
