Ghosts and stuff...again.

She had waited. Contamination of the city had made things difficult, had made it hard to regroup, and so she'd become weaker. Once she'd been purged of the filthy virus and had access to the city again, she remained at her place for several days. The monsters had become restless, and the arrival of their master satiated their wanderlust. It was just as well: Alessa had pent up aggression, and that could only be dealt with right with the creation of more, different monsters. To her irritation, many of them started to look a little like increasingly zombified versions of Sasami and Negi, two of the people constantly on her mind in the last few days. She'd kept them a secret for the moment though: she didn't need to give Sasami more reasons to be freaked out by her. Instead, she continued to increase her strength, and soon she was able to maintain her human appearance again.

Still, the monsters were numerous, and starting to attack each other. She would have to find a more permanent solution for her monsters, or at least have a new mission where she could kill things. Otherwise, she was going to land in hot water with the inhabitants of the ship. For the moment, Alessa wasn't going to think about it. New people had arrived on the ship and several different things had happened while she was in medbay.

Now she was simply wandering aimlessly for the moment, in older guise, unable to really pinpoint a feeling at the moment.

Ruffnut too was restless. She felt the urge for action and had determined it was because she wasn't fighting with her brother as much as she used to. Well he wasn't around after all.

The Sensoriums were as good a place as any to hit stuff but it wasn't as much fun if they didn't hit back. Still she wasn't sure what else to do as she roamed the halls feeling her muscles tighten at every individual she passed.

Ruffnut heard the voice and it took a moment to register it was speaking to her, turning and giving a "Tough girl" hard stare, "I'm Ruffnut." She responded curtly sizing up this opponent...wait. No she wasn't an enemy, yet.

"It's a tough name, scares away trolls." She explained for what felt like the hundredth time. People on this ship just didn't understand viking names.

"Yes!" she added and then quickly corrected herself, "I mean...I don't know what it is I'm just..." She grumbled and sighed in a frustrated manner. Communicating her feelings was difficult. Neigh impossible for someone like her.

"Yes!" Ruffnut answered almost too eagerly, "But like, we're not supposed to fight except in those magic rooms and those things won't fight back that hard." Though she had gotten herself tossed around in the Sensoriums it just didn't have the same feel.

"She can't?" Ruffnut's lips curled into a smile, "Vikings are made of sterner stuff!" She declared "I can handle any unspeakable horror!"

Her scrawny body hid lanky muscles toned from Zetta's training just begging to be used.

Her eyes went wide as the girl transformed, "What...how did you do that? Was that magic?" She peered curiously at her and recoiled at the scent.

Evangeline had a Discussion to have with Alessa. The little vampire was well aware that the strange monsters that could occasionally be found around the city were Alessa's minions, and she for the most part tolerated the creatures if they didn't bother her; Alessa was, after all, a friend, and friends, even evil friends, did not slaughter each others' minions without permission.

At least, that was, until she'd found one walking around with her apprentice's face. Evangeline honestly had no idea what the gesture actually meant but it made her feel undeniably possessive. She liked Alessa for their similarities, but being the same sort of creature implied a level of competition. Negi need only serve one master, even in image. And he definitely needed only one demon...

She was a capable scryer and Alessa was a unique presence on the ship; it did not take Evangeline long at all to track the girl down. The little vampire announced her presence dramatically, throwing the frozen and quite bodiless head of the lookalike down in front of Alessa.

"I believe this is yours."

"I didn't like its face." Evangeline said. There was a hint of a threat there... though she was perfectly prepared to wait until she had a full explanation to be angry or merely annoyed or amused or whatever she was going to be, she had always her inclination to push at those around her who had not yet proven themselves. Alessa was someone she was mostly prepared to take 'as she was' without such testing... but the incident had put her in enough of a mood to apply such adversarial practices.

"I didn't." Evangeline cared a good deal less about this unidentified acquaintance of Alessa's. "But it's obvious something passed between you and the boy for you to have created something like this. I want to know what."

Possessive indeed.

"I saw that thine monsters have gain a variety," Pirogoeth said, having recently been released from GLADOS. After being gone for far too long, she thought she'd see if she could check on Alessa. It had been...interesting, checking out her usual haunt in the city. "And something about thee being among the ill recently?"

[identity profile] lastofkuith.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"The error in letting thee be sick, thus making the monsters more likely to be unruly?" Pirogoeth questioned, all to willing to act as if she was never gone.

[identity profile] lastofkuith.livejournal.com 2010-10-25 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
"That could be a problem. And it's to be expected," Pirogoeth said and paused thoughtfully. "Have thee a anyone who might help with that pent up energy?"

[identity profile] lastofkuith.livejournal.com 2010-10-25 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Sometimes that could be helpful. It means less fools are likely to bother thee," Pirogoeth said. "Usually if they can acknowledge the nonthreatening appearing one is a danger, they're less so." Not that there weren't exceptions.

"Training is a good way to release such things. I can help as well, if the other isn't enough."

[identity profile] lastofkuith.livejournal.com 2010-10-25 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Have there been many with problems with the type of being thou art then?" Pirogoeth asked. Though, honestly, she wasn't too surprised. She suspected if Largo ever appeared, she'd have to knock him unconscious several times before he learned. "What dost thou mean thou cannot deny it when thee likes exactly?"

Pirogoeth nodded. "I see. Then I can help. Be it the monsters or thine self, I believe I can give thee a challenge without going overboard."
