What's gonna work? Team Work!

The Vault was an imposing structure, from the inside. Externally, it looked like an unassuming little building, a facade that masked a door like a bank vault and with as impenetrable a lock.

Inside, it was...considerably more impressive.

Everything about the warren of architecture spoke of thick beams and the weight of the earth. This was meant to be an impenetrable fortress, the headquarters of the so-called 'Strike Team.'

Motoko had left the door ajar, but waited silently in the artificially lit antechamber. It was time for them to meet.

Dean had seen them around, but other than the Major, he didn't really know them either.

He just shrugged, his arms folded in front of him, "Not much, Security detail, checking over my baby. Ran a few sims too."

Well, now this sounded promising. No having to worry about offending anyone's sensibilities--Tenaya was free to do what she'd been programmed to do. So long as nobody ever knew.

Didn't seem that hard.

"Guess I'll go first," Tenaya said. "Like the Major said, I'm Tenaya and I'm a cyborg. Not by choice, but it works for me. It's about the only life I can remember anyway--sorry to say my life story isn't exactly a long one."

Dean listened, and it was pretty much how he expected things. Ship can have its Security and cops. But he was used to doing things without rules, and sad to say, sometimes you ended up with bloody hands. (Too bloody even if he can still remember how it drip, dripped down the rack). Ok, so they got a cyborg, sure, he could deal.

He then spoke up, "Yeah, I'm Winchester, or just call me Dean. I like long walks on the beach, and long conversations by the moonlight." And if you believe that crap, he's got some beachfront property to sell you too.

"Honestly? Dealt with some scary ass shit most of my life, and that kind of life you learn fast or you ain't gonna make it for long. Way it goes."

"Oh no, how dare we offend their delicate sensibilities. Surely, our violent deaths and imprisonment will work as a bandage for them." She snorts and links her fingers behind her head. So far, most of this was old hat to her. A typical shadowrun team forming up, save for the bit where they were on a space boat.

Kidney.

Thing.

She lets her hands drop when it comes time to introduce herself. "You guys can just keep calling me Mei-Xing. In the interests of a better disclosure, I'm a shadowrunner." She pauses a beat, realizing that the name probably means nothing to them. "I've been used to this kind of thing for about... Twelve years now? Yeah. I specialize in burglary and feng shui sabotage. Speaking of which," She shoots the Major a glare. "The flow of qi in this place is royally fucked. I'm gonna have to work on that."

Looking back on the group she rolls her shoulders. "As the boss said, I'm a mage. Means that I can do anything to support you guys, from combat spells to disguises to healing. If you like, I'll give a more thorough explanation later." But it'd have to wait until she threw up some proper barriers around this place, to screw up eavesdroppers.

Tapping her chin, she ponders what else to say. "I'm 28 years old. I was born in Hong Kong, my mother works there. I'm an elf, so I'll probably outlive the lot of you. My measurements are... I forget. Um. I enjoy dance clubs, watching the dragon lines, history, and archery." She peers around. "Am I forgetting anything?"

So far two cyborgs. Ronon wasn't too sure how he felt about that but if they were all on the same team, it was fine by him. Dean's comment about scary ass shit made him wonder what sort of scary ass shit it could have possibly been. He was a little intrigued. The Mei-Xing's was interesting although a little too talkative for his tates. He'd never met an elf before. He silenlty studied everyone as they were speaking, making mental notes.

"Specialist Ronon Dex. Or at least I was before Sateda was destroyed. Joined the army when I was a teenager and faught against the Wraith when they laid seige to my planet and wiped out my people. I was captured by them and they set me 'free' only to hunt me. I was a 'runner' for seven years, running from planet to planet. Eventually ran into some people from Earth, they helped me and I joined their exploration expedition in my galaxy. I've been doing all sorts of military operations since." It was unusually a little more in depth than he'd like but if they were going to be his new team mates, they had to know some things about his background in case it came to bite them in the ass. It was easy on Atlantis where everybody knew where he came from and he didn't really have to speak about himself so much.
