In Chopper's mind, Hydroponics is Wonka's Chocolate Factory [closed; bendytimed to before the ball]
Tony Tony Chopper was finally ready to make sweets! He was really excited about the whole thing. He quickly typed up a message to Maydril, who he had yet to meet, and waited patiently at the entrance to Hydroponics. Making sweets shouldn't be as hard as making medicine right?

Perhaps if there was another "shore leave" at some point, she could repay what she'd taken.
It was easy to see the petite half-drow skipping along on her way to Hydroponics, a smile on her face and her supplies in her arms.

Chopper was surprised when he saw Maydril skipping towards him. He'd never seen anyone like her before and she smelled different to a human. He was a little shy but he shook himself out of it quickly and greeted Maydril.
"Hello. Are you Maydril?? I'm Tony Tony Chopper!"
no subject
"I am May, yes. It is nice to meet you...what do you prefer to be called?" Not that she wouldn't call him by his full name if asked.
"I have most of what I need here, I think, but if you can find any fruit you like in Hydroponics that will stretch it a bit," May said thoughtfully as she straightened up.

Chopper reached out and shook Maydril's hand with his hooved hand and smiled back at her. "Anything's fine. Some of my friends call me Tony, others call me Chopper."
He turned to look at Hydroponics and in a fluid motion, Chopper shifted into his original, blue-nosed reindeer self. He still had his clothes on and his blue backpack. He sniffed at the air and he could smell all sorts of fruit and vegetables growing in Hydroponics.
Turning back to May he said. "There's a lot of fruit in there and it should be easy to find. Do you want me to carry any of the stuff you have? It's easier for me to carry things when I'm in this form. It doesn't look heavy at all and you can put some of the stuff in my backpack."

She separated her utensils from the bowl, but all of it went into Chopper's pack. "I am emptying the bowl so we do not make a mess of your backpack. I figure we can put the fruit in it for now."

Chopper was surprised to hear that people in May's world could learn to shapeshift. Out on the Grand Line, if you could shapeshift, you've most likely eaten a devil fruit. Being able to learn to do so never occured to him.
He nodded as she put all of her things into his pack. "You can learn to shapeshift? I can only do it because I at a special fruit that lets me change my forms. I have a human form I can change into."

A thoughtful look crossed her face. "Special fruit? That is...odd, but I do not see why that could not exist. What is it like? I do not know if it would be a good idea for me to try it, but there might be some uses for others, perhaps. Though that would be something to work on later. Now is for fun," Maydril said with a smile.

"It's a curse but also a blessing," Replied Chopper honestly. He was enjoying Maydril's company which surprised himself. He had a lot of reservations when it came to meeting strangers in general but he could sense that she was a good person. 'Anyone who offers to make you candy definitely has to be a good person! Right?' Was Chopper's train of thought.
"You're right, we can talk about this another time." He took a few steps inside Hydroponics and was taken away from all the green in front of him! Chopper smiled excitedly.
"What fruit do you need??"
no subject
Even she was astonished by the sheer green of Hydroponics. "I have not been here often, and every time I come it seems as if something is different. Perhaps I ought to visit more."
For more than just meditation. Though Hydroponics was good for that.

"Really?? Aahh.." The blue-nosed reindeer had let his imagination run wild. Maybe Hydroponics is always changing because there's some sort of monster hiding in it and changing things! He was visibly spooked. It didn't help matters that he could smell many strange, new scents and some things that smelt really bad. As long as he stayed away from the bad smells, he figured he'd be fine from the boogey monster.
no subject
"I think it is because I keep finding new things," Maydril said. She was aware enough to realize that Chopper had gotten spooked for some reason, but not enough to realize that it was inadvertently her fault.

"All plants? ...No monsters?" Chopper gave away what had him worried. According to his nose, they were close at different points but so far they hadn't seen any, which was a relief. He'd also seen lots of flowers and herbs he'd recognised from home. They provided him with small distractions from being too scared. It was good to know that Stacy was growing ingredients he needed to make his rumble balls.
As they were walking and chatting, Chopper was leading them to a big tree growing an abundance of a small orange fruit. He smiled at Maydril. They were coming up to a satsuma tree.
no subject
"So what are these? Should I know anything about them?" Maydril wasn't entirely sure that there weren't monsters in Hydroponics...or at least creatures she'd never seen before, and while she didn't want to frighten Chopper with an answer, she didn't want to lie to the little fellow either.
Best to be silent then...and try to distract him with purpose!
ahh i need more icons of human chopper ;_;
"This is a satsuma tree!" Stacy's translator kicked in. "It's sweet and seedless. It smells ripe, so we should be able to eat them!" He changed into his human form, his limbs quickly, but steadly growing bigger. It ended with him standing on two feet, retaining his blue nose and pack still on his back. Chopper in his Heavy Point easily towered Maydril.
"Do you want to try one?" He was grinning.
I need more icons. Well, eventually, right? :)
"I think I will leave the picking to you! It will be easier!" Especially since he was so much taller than her now.
