Verbose? This is Aibghalien being downright mute... for him. Kang will probably need to reconsider that opinion if anyone ever mentions magic in his presence...

The wizard quirked a smile. "It sounds like the military is being the military just because it's used to being the military." It makes sense in his head. "Well, no matter. I'm only incidentally skilled with a blade," he continued with a glance down at the sword he wore, "but I have experience commanding in battles, as well as... civilian administration." He really had no intent of making any fuss over what, precisely, the nature of that experience was.

"But my strength is magic, and if I have a preference in placements I'd rather work with whatever other practitioners you have aboard. Though..."

He looked up and far away, his eyes no longer the instrument of sensation. In total, he seemed to be concentrating on seeing, hearing, even tasting, without using the appropriate organs to do so. After a moment, he exhaled and relaxed, focusing on Kang once again. "I don't think I have access to any realm magic here. The --" No, Kang wouldn't understand the elven word. "The environmental magic here isn't of a strength that would permit me to claim anything but the weakest source, and that would require full dominion over it. But I still have command of my personal magics."
