Clearing the Mind [Open]
Matt had indeed taken note of the directed post and the growing argument that was quickly becoming in a sided manner. He himself had been debating things about this, and had done everything from creating an astral drop to talk to, as well as pacing. In the end, he had taken a DVD from one of Kandor's stocks and slid it into the machine.
Leaning back in his chair, Matt's hands were folded in front of him as he watched an episode of Sliders, specifically My Brother's Keeper, an episode dealing with clones using as spare parts.
"What do you think?" inquired Matt softly as the episode ended.
His counterpart sat across from him, drinking tea with a monocle. "If you ask me old chap, I think we need to sit down with everyone and talk with them."
"Quite right," muttered Matt as he took up his own tea cup, took a sip and shared a moment with his astral drop.

He hated this greatly and it showed. He figured the best thing he could do is at least contact one of the other members and see what they thought.
As he knocked on the door of the bus nearby, he let himself shudder slightly. There was probably a reason why he hated this, amongst the reasoning that it was the life of a person.
"I hate magic..." he uttered.

"Hold on, I'm coming," called out Matt as he wandered out of the area and pushed the door open. "Oh hello Kal. Come in, I've got tea set out."
no subject
"When I threw my hat in for this, I didn't realize we'd go that far..."
no subject
"Matthew," replied the Astral Drop. "Nice to meet you Kal."
Stirring his tea, he took a sip. "I saw the conversation with Nanoha. She's really REALLY got her teeth into this huh?"
no subject
"She does. And I can understand her position - her family is pretty much this."
no subject
"But... medically speaking this is unsound, unsafe and if we try to revive it, it'll only end in disaster."

He let his mind wander a bit. There had been other people who wanted to join in. How would Dick have handled this? Or Euphimia? Or even that little girl, Sasami? He shook his head, dropping the subject. No time for shoulda, woulda, coulda.
"...I just wish I knew how to get it through to her. I know I've been blamed for being too idealistic, but..."
no subject
"High idealistic morals is what's going to carry this even in the trying moments. There are options, none of them pretty or going to keep our hands clean. One side wants to let it rest, the other wants it to live. And in the middle, is the lawful ground, if evil, way Mei Xing walks in order to achieve her goals. It might not be legal HERE, or moral, but to her, it probably serves a major purpose."
He shrugged and sipped his tea. "It's a case of the Best Intentions paving the way to Hell, but in this case, we're surrounded by clones and potential fireballs."

He let out a chuckle as he stared at his drink. "...something like this should be easier for Bruce to figure out, not me."

Setting his cup down, Matt steeped his fingers in front of himself as he leaned back in a fairly relaxed position. "I think before we as a group can make some serious decisions, we all need to listen to all sides of this. There's a lot of angry fingers being pointed and people are bound to take sides. I'd much rather figure things out before it becomes a kangaroo court."
