Paco was a man on a mission. It was a very serious mission of the utmost importance.

Depending on the definitions of "serious", "utmost", and "importance" at least.

There were people on this ship that needed to either be recruited onto Team Have Some Freaking Fun, and there were people who needed to be marked down to be shanghai'd into having fun the next time the Team had a plan. There were also people who he needed to talk to talk to on general principle because they were his friends and what else were friends for?

In other words, Paco was bored and in the mood to socialize.

"I wouldn't say 'common', exactly," Paco said, tilting his hand back and forth. "The majority of people aren't metas. But in comparison to most other people's universes, we have a lot of metas and aliens and people dressing up in costumes and fighting crime with theme-gadgets." He pointed at his cyborg arm. "This is about as powered up as I get. I got in on the whole thing though, 'cause a techno-organic alien scarab attached itself to my best friend's spine and makes super-powered armor for him. It's pretty freakin' sweet, as that sort of thing goes."

Jamie grimaced a little. "Guess if you have to have something like that stuck with you it might as well come with some perks. How's your friend feel about it? Does he protect the world and fight bad guys and stuff?"

"He wasn't too happy about it at first, but he came to terms with it," Paco said. "He's one of those super-responsible types, so he couldn't just not help out when bad things go down." He grinned. "He whipped up a plan that let him take down an entire invading alien fleet once. With a bit of help from a few other people of course, but it was totally awesome."

Jamie arched a brow. "How'd he swing that?" he asked. "Sounds like the kinda guy we could use here, 'f he can pull off something like that." Hell of a lot more useful than he himself, anyway.

"He is around here," Paco said, gesturing. "About yea tall, shaggy hair, scruffy proto-beard, wears all blue? Jaime Reyes? He's been awake as long as I have, and we were part of the first group to wake up."
