Flying to New Heights [Closed]

It had been quite awhile since Vivio was able to spend time with Komali. Between her healing period, catching up with Einhart and the bomb scare, her life was pretty busy. However, hearing Komali had learned to fly piqued her interest. It was amazing to hear about another flier, especially someone that wasn't powered by magic.

Thus, she decided to see Komali's skill in the City, feeling that the Sensoriums just wouldn't convey the true sensation of flying.

As well? She was blissfully unaware of the incident with Sherry and Komali.

Komali was waiting at the appointed meeting spot, nervously. True, he was a Rito, and Rito flew. There hadn't been a flightless Rito since- ever!

That was why Lord Valoo watched over them. That was what made them Rito. That was their entire purpose on the great sea.

He took a deep breath as he saw Vivio approach and managed to wave a greeting without throwing up. A minor victory, but an important one, "H-hi, Vivio!"

"Komali-kun! Hi!" Vivio said, trotting over to her friend. "It's been awhile, huh?"

She smiled brightly as she continued. "I can't wait to see you fly. This will be so cool! Shall we go to one of the rooftops?"

"Uhh..." Crud. He really can't say no to girls. How do you think Sherry got him up on that roof, the first time? "I...sure!"

Vivio took a thoughtful pose briefly before picking a smaller building. "That one! That way, if something goes wrong it won't be too much of a fall!"

It's not that she doesn't have faith in you. She knows these things!

"Sure!" Komali smiles brightly, and nods. He should have known Vivio wasn't like that, "Race you?"

"Okay!" Vivio returned her own smile and nod, happy to see Komali so happy. Part of Vivio was worried that if she did race him, her own training would make her too fast for him. At the same time, she knew that holding back for his sake with something like that wouldn't be fair. She compromised and decided to take things as they come.

"Ready? Go!" With that, Vivio started to run ahead.

"Hey! Cheater!" But he didn't mean it and he was laughing, trailing behind her. When they finally reached the building, he wasn't panting-- Rito lungs are built for flight, and too efficient to be worn out by so brief an exertion, but neither had he caught up with her.

"Wow, Vivio," He grinned, "How did you get so fast?"

Vivio giggled a bit. "Exercise! I wanna be strong like Nanoha-mama and Fate-mama so I work out!" She nodded a bit at that. "It really helps!"
