The message was chilling, and bells went off in Katara's head already: words like hostage, slaves, surrender, bombs danced around, and that feeling of fear seemed to freeze her there. All of those people, all of the friends she'd met: they were all now in the clutches of some evil being that wanted to hurt all of them.

Not on her watch. No way.

"Gotta find the others," Katara said, recalling who exactly WOULD be others: for instance, she had to know if Sokka and the others were all right. Where was Aang? That stabbing worry was starting to form, but more than anything, she was determined NOT to give up, no matter what.

"It's the Fire Nation military all over again," Katara muttered to herself.
