Luke was glad, as he walked through the doors of the Sensorium, that no trace of the hole he'd cut with his lightsaber remained.  In his haste to get at Steve, he'd not even thought about the consequences of making his own entrance to the place, but things looked normal again.  He'd have held this in the Jedi Temple, but he needed access to weapons that he was pretty sure Stacy, or at least Security, wouldn't have let out of the armory.  And here, any damage to the area would be correctable.  Like he'd told Steve, if they accidentally shot up the walls of the Temple, it could be a problem.

He was looking forward to teaching again, honestly.  Ben was getting to the point in his study of the Force that he only needed guidance, suggestions, rather than direct training.  And Luke loved to teach, having made it a point to get out to the apprentice classes at the praxeum and the Temple when he could get away from administrative duties.

One day, he promised himself, he'd be back in the Temple hearing the laughter of young Jedi again.  It was why he was here.

But for now, he had to focus on getting things set up for Steve.  The young man needed confidence and at least a method of defending himself in a pinch.

Steve didn't look exactly thrilled to be coming back to the sensoriums for the first time since his ordeal. He'd always been at least a little suspicious of the very nature of the place, but he'd never had a reason to believe his pessimism was actually grounded in real danger.

Still, he was eager to get some actual combat training that didn't require him to go to one of the classes full of people that happened every so often. He had no desire to expose himself to all of them. And besides... maybe, just maybe, Luke would be able to train him into something else.

"Hey Luke," he said as he stepped into the sensorium-- and uneasily looked around.

Steve shrugged his shoulders, still looking around the interior of the temple. He never would get used to the bizarre, futuristic architecture from Luke's world.

"I don't know... I was thinking you might know where to start," he said. "It's not like I'm totally helpless. I know how to use guns and I survived a whole zombie apocalypse by winging it..." He looked more than a little proud about that, though his smile faded into a vague smirk. "But like I said, it'd be nice to really know what I was doing."

"Yeah," Steve confirmed, and reached into his pocket to pull out his Luger. He always kept it on him, and ever since the sensorium incident, he made doubly sure it was loaded and ready at a moment's notice. "Like this."

But he looked far more impressed with the blaster. Wide-eyed, he watched the smoke sizzling from the hole in the target, and an even wider grin spread across his face.

"Sweet."
