Don't Forget, But Don't Recall [Set During the GLaDOS plot, closed to Kelly, Leon]
Sherry couldn't remember who she shared her room with. It had to have been someone. She didn't really like sleeping by herself, after all, and her father worked all the time now, so who had it been? Maybe it was Boon and she was just being crazy, but it felt like it was just on the tip of her fingers. Puzzled, and a bit annoyed, Sherry rubbed her thumb over the smooth face of her locket and watched as Boon sat and whined at the door.
Did he have to go out again already? Well, that wouldn't be so bad. Maybe she'd run into her father, or Vega or someone. Sherry put on her shoes and adjusted her clothes so they lay right. "Come on, Boon, let's go for a walk."
Which very quickly turned into less of a "walk" and more of a "chase Boon through the halls of the crew quarters."
"Boon! Wait! Stop! HEEL!"

Besides, at the moment, she was busy watching a dog come barrelling up the hallway toward her, closely followed by a familiar figure chasing after it. Sherry had a dog? Well, time enough for that once the animal was caught. Stepping into Boon's path, the Spartan knelt holding out a hand to hopefully interest him into stopping.

"Th... thank you." Definitely not a long-distance runner, nope.

"Don't worry about it. Haven't managed to get him a leash yet?" Well, they hadn't started practising yet, had they?

Her luck, someone would just be flippant. "Where did you go, I just realized I haven't seen you in a while." Sherry pursed her lips.

"GLaDOS. I don't see the point of running those mazes over and over." Her expression remained placid, but there was a hint of annoyance in her tone. It was a waste of her time. And she had better things to do.

Her attention was momentarily divided by Boon, who had started licking Kelly's hand joyously. "Did you hear? Dad's the captain of the ship now." She couldn't help that little prideful tone in her voice.

The dog received a friendly pet on the head, and a scritch behind the ears. Kelly had always liked animals. Not that she'd had much time with non-lethal ones in recent years. "I hadn't heard. But that's good to know. He's a good man, he'll do a good job." She liked Kennedy after all, and he'd proven himself in several situations already.
