[For Hiccup, but open.]
A cranky fire prince is waiting for his test student. He's still patchily burned in places from his latest round of maze-running, but the best cure for Zuko's crankiness is to get to work on whatever task has been put to him at the time. Currently, Hiccup is it.
Of course, this means he's sensorium-camping, which might not go over so well with the rest of the crew.

Well, at least Zuko hadn't quite gotten angry enough about it to try attacking Alex. Maybe a friendship could be salvaged- not that that was Alex current focus. He was too concerned with his own feelings of guilt. "I'm s-sorry... I w-won't bring it up a-again." He rubbed at his arm, still unable to make eye contact. At least it was clear that he wasn't lying, despite his inability to make eye contact. It was clear that he was nervous and scared. He looked like he was just trying to sink into his jacket and disappear.
As for what to do next, Alex was at a total loss. He wasn't even sure what the situation might call for. Should he say goodbye and leave? Try to start another conversation-less personal? Was there something else he was expected to say?
Talking with people was just such a complicated thing. It wasn't like he didn't want those connections, but he just couldn't understand how so many other were able to make friends so easily.

"Look . . . I'm waiting for someone to show up. So I can't really talk right now."
He's no better at making friends than the next socially maladjusted abusee, unfortunately.

He looked up at Zuko, smiling hopefully, "M-maybe some other time?" He began backing away slowly, as if he was retreating from a lion.
