Exploration and Observation [Open]
Tony (or Plays, depending on who you ask) has decided to poke around the ship now that he knows it's relatively safe (and his excitement from meeting Chief has worn off). And, after all, he can turn into a furry, nine-foot tall creature that can toss small cars. He's reasonably confident in his ability to beat off anyone who attacks him. Hell, he thinks he's a decent brawler, regardless. Don't grow up in the bad part of town without learning a few tricks. His explorations have led him to the observation deck and for a moment, he just stared out at the stars drifting by, at the vast emptiness of space. Then, he plopped himself into one of the 'chairs', giving the sculpture an uneasy look before glancing upwards again. He felt like he was being watched. Still...
He knew that he had supposedly been chosen to fight the impending apocalypse. He was one of the few remaining warriors who stood between the world and total destruction. He had a destiny, a job, a purpose. And even so, simply looking out into the empty blackness of space makes him feel very, very small indeed and the implication - that he's stuck far from home, his family, has finally settled in. He scratched at the back of his head and sighed, muttering to himself in Spanish "...mom, you better not get into trouble while I'm gone."
And so he sat, watching and waiting.

Kate smiled, "Yeah? Been out that way once with teammates. We were helping some kids about our age out."
no subject
Not that he minded things like that. Anything that helped the people on the streets out was OK by him.

It's a total lie, of course, but he's always been good at that kind of thing.

He shrugs, "Like I was sayin'... I grew up on th' streets, so I always think it's good to see people helpin' out those less fortunate."

Sort of saying she definitely didn't grow up on the streets. The Bishops are very wealthly.

He flops back into his weird, living chair and sighs, "Guess we're just gonna make th' best of it, huh? A lot different from school or just livin'."

She then said, thinking of recent events, "Trying to do that, but this place doesn't make it easy. You hear anything yet about the giant roaches or the Yeerks?" Briefest pause before she mentioned the latter.
no subject
"Eh, heard something... Not mcuh, though. What happened?"
no subject
She flopped down by him, and asked, "Well the giant roaches kidnapped some of us. One guy was torn apart, but we were able to rescue the rest, and get rid of them."
She then sighed, "The Yeerks... that's more complicated. Parasitic brain slugs that possess people for one."

He turns his head to follow her, "...damn. Sounds like shit out of a movie. Both of those things. Then again, this whole thing sounds like a bad comic book...."

Kate nodded, "I know. At least trying to get more organized around here. Figure some way back."
no subject
"Yeah. We gotta get back somehow. My mom is probably freaking out... She'll think I'm dead or something."
no subject
Kate then came closer, reaching out to place a hand on his shoulder if she could, "She'll be ok. We'll get home somehow."
no subject
"Yeah, I know... I'm just all that she's got left right now and I worry 'bout her and makin' sure she lives right an' stuff. Hell... we got Master Chief. We'll be fine."
no subject
She added in a more serious tone, her hand finally lowered to her side again, "You'll get back to her."
She thinks her dad might miss her some, once he takes a break from expanding the publishing empire, and maybe her sister, even though she was busy spending her husband's money. Kate had always been close to her mom especially and she had been gone a few years prior.

He nods, "Yeah, yeah. Just worried s'all. It'll all come together. Eventually. Nothin' is impossible, right?" Besides, impossible is what werewolves do (or die trying, more often then not).
