Pimp That Ship (open)
Amaterasu could feel her heart sink upon seeing the “Plant Temple”. It had brightened her spirit thinking that there was some life on this meat ship. This was not what she was picturing at all when she heard ‘temple’! She imagined it to be a shine of lush green foliage with little song birds and colorful flowers, a refuge of untouched nature, but It was just a sea of vines and scruffy undergrowth. Even so, this was far better than having no growth at all. The condition of the rest of the ship was far worse than this place.
As she journeyed across the ship to reach the temple the sun goddess witnessed the extent of the defoliation. Amongst the twisted, mismatched buildings and houses were patches of brown scraggily grass and shabby shrubs. Hardly anything to rave about and it did nothing to brighten up the place. The ship felt so dull and stagnate. There was a river to break up the vast expanse of brown. Well if you wanted to call that a river. Sure, it flowed like one, but where were the cattails and the water lilies? It was just as barren as the rest of the ship. She wondered if the inhabitants could remember the feel of fresh green grass between their toes or the sweet aroma of a flower.
This was not expectable in the least. Something had to be done. The condition of this place was far worse than that of Nippon. The goddess would have to make everything herself. That was going to require great amount of her spiritual power, but she could do it. She had to.
Amaterasu narrowed her eyes with new found determination and she set off to work, starting with this river. With a flick of her tail there was an eruption of flora. The once barren shore was now covered in reeds, cattails, and weeping willows that gracefully arced over the water casting their shadows. This was only the beginning. Ammy raced through the ship as a tidal wave of green was left in her wake. Tirelessly she worked through the late hours. When the inhabitant woke up it must have been quite a sight. Seemingly over the night the ship had exploded with color. Where there were once bare patches of earth was now covered with grassland and trees of all shapes and sizes. And the flowers! Oh there were flowers everywhere! Around a nearly formed meadow was a ringlet of trees and sitting in the middle was an enormous cherry tree in full bloom. Its soft pink petals fell like snow in the breeze. Sitting at the base was one very tired looking white wolf. It had taken everything the deity had, but she did it. She panted happily as she lay in the grass, she just needed to close her eyes for a bit...

She panted happily as she lay in the grass, she just needed to close her eyes for a bit...

She notices the wolf lying down near the base, looking incredibly exhausted. She steps towards the tree for a closer look, careful to move her low-heeled shoes quietly through the grass so as to not disturb the tired creature.

It is an example of nature's best work, surely.

She gasped, seeing the beauty of the cherry tree. She had only seen them herself upon occasion, though painters had been hired to replicate them in several places throughout the castle, but the dull pigments poorly captured their beauty. She noticed the tired wolf next, her heart beat just a little faster than was normal for an animal her size, but that was not surprising, considering the way she was panting. She walked over to the wolf and crouched next to her, gently patting her head. She would not be surprised if she was growled at, or even bit. She knew very well that she smell like blood, possibly even more specifically like Rei's blood, since it was so soon after she had fed from him. Her own scent was non-existent, though if the wolf's nose was sharp enough, it might be able to smell that cold scent of stone underneath the strong stench of blood.

She moved slowly and deliberately to scratch the wolf behind her ear, "That's right little one, I mean no harm. Flowers are among the few things that can bring me true happiness." As an after thought she asked, "Can you speak?" There were a few werewolves in her would who could speak in their wolf forms, so what was keeping a wolf on this ship from speaking?

She lowered her head with a slight whimper.

She sat with her legs a little awkwardly to the side, the heels making it difficult to sit more comfortably. Continuing to stroke Amaterasu's head and neck she asked, "Well then, can you understand me little one? If you can, bark twice." She seemed a bit silly saying the last bit, but figured that if the wolf couldn't understand her there was no one else to hear. If the wolf could understand her, then the request wasn't ridiculous.

A few moments later, he still didn't find any but the slumbering wolf surprised him. Wait, is it sleeping?
Beer Trees for ALL!!
WOO!
"Hey boy," (He couldn't tell yet which gender offhand) "Hey puppy, whatcha up to?" He crouched down close by the wolf, and offered his hand out to sniff cautiously.

"What, what about the trees?" Seemed to be pointing to them. "You see something up there?" Maybe the wolf treed a squirrel. He stepped forward and reached out to scratch behind the ears.

"What the shit?!"

She has no answer, and is sort of overwhelmed by it all. She tries to think something, anything, but the only thing she can do is get up and start running all over the place, nose darting all over everything to sniff.
She wags her tail. And finally, satisfied with exploration but still amazed, she finds a spot to roll around in the grass and flowers and plant life here.
Ooh, what's that kind of tree? Bella's never seen one before. She comes over to look and-
"Hello!" she barks.

"Hey Bella! You like what I did?" she nodded to the flora.

"You made this? I have never seen a thing like this! It is beautiful!" It is. She means it, well and truly.

He slowly wandered through the ship with his dog, taking it all in. While he had never really been impressed by flowers and the like, this was still rather beautiful. And though the plants were very different, it reminded him of Brazil. Of home. That alone was enough to get him feeling a little overwhelmed and emotional.
After a while he got to the cherry tree, which seemed as much the center of all of this as anything. He didn't notice the wolf, but Fati did, and she strained on her leash, yapping, curious about the creature. Rei, however, was too busy being awestruck to really notice. At leash, that was, until Fati pulled hard enough to yank the leash from his hand. He'd pounced on it and got her back under control in moments, but is was enough to notice the wolf. Rei had encountered wolves before back home. He didn't really like them. They tended to be kind of... dangerous. And sometimes ate little dogs, if he remembered correctly. "Fati, down, girl," he said quietly, eyes glued on the white wolf.

Trying to set the man at ease she happily wagged her tail showing him that she would not harm him or his pup.

With a yawning stretch the deity got to her paws and trotted over, still wagging her tail in a friendly manner. She went straight up to the small pup and let the little one sniff her before she sniffed it in return, licking it on the head.

And then he realized he was trying to scold a wolf. Well... this was becoming a very odd day.

For one, there were weeds in his garden.
The alien had a quick breakfast of fresh fruits—'pears' they were called—washed, cleaned the bottom floor and lounge, put on his favorite knapsack and immediately went outside. It took all of ten minutes. Good thing, too, because this was kind of a disaster.
Aeneas grumbled inwardly, a deep bass tremble that rattled his feathers and unconsciously made his tail wag. There was grass everywhere! Why was there grass in his vegetable patch? It needed to not be in his vegetable patch.
More than that, there was grass outside his garden, too. There was more than just grass. There were trees, and flowers, and funny little patches of moss and water lilies by the river and, well, just about everywhere else. Suddenly, Aeneas found that he was no longer so concerned about his plants.
It took a bit of wandering to find the culprit—or at least who he assumed was the culprit—taking a casual snooze underneath a tree with vibrant blooms, some sort of white-furred canine that was much larger than what Aeneas had seen in the research pods (the domestic variety, mind). Upon coming closer, thus, the alien began to rethink confronting the creature for information concerning this radical transformation. It—she?—was most likely, you know, quite tired. No need to wake her up now and risk and grumpy rebuttal, eh?
Purring nervously to himself (louder than he thought he was, actually), Aeneas turned on his heels and began creeping off the premise. It should be noted that he isn't an animal of stealth.

Needing to get a closer look she let out a whimpering yawn as she stretched getting to her paws. The deity trotted behind the alien and stuck her nose in its feathers sniffing it all over.

Otherwise Aeneas smelt quite similar to baked apples. This had a lot to do with the fact that Amaterasu had rather unexpectedly buried her nose in the creature's thigh and, thereby, scared the living crap out of him, causing a sudden consumption of nitrogen within Aeneas's second pair of lungs, converting it into nitrous oxide before it was expelled through the rows of feathers on the alien's face.
On a less technical note, Aeneas screeched with surprise and jumped several feet in the opposite direction.

"Ah, I wonder what caused this?" she wondered allowed, her eyes landing on the tree Amaterasu rested under.

"Hello," she greeted.

Curiously, she touched some of the flowers in both awe and remembrance. That's when she noticed the large white wolf someone obviously had put face paint all over.
"Huh..."

All these buildings - what were they made of anyway? Carved from cliff faces of stone? Some were made of wood, but they were often all so square and blocky... so very alien. It made Kettch nervous walking through the streets. It was all so open and bare between the buildings - there was so little cover! What if the people had to hide from large predators? Every time he ventured down into the city to explore, he tread warily, his spear held at the ready.
He didn't stay in the city, though. It was too alien and strange. It made him nervous and uncomfortable to spend much time down there. He much preferred the forest in Hydroponics. However, he intended to scout around. He wanted to be sure of the lay of the land inside the Great Spirit. So he continued coming down into the city to scout around.
However, things were very different this morning. There were trees! There were plants all over the city! It was wonderful! It was a miracle! Surely the work of a Great Spirit of nature and the forest!
Amazed, the ewok wandered through the newly wooded areas of the city, marveling at this great working. Had a shaman called upon a Great Spirit to do this? If so, surely it must be an immensely powerful shaman. Perhaps if he could meet that shaman, he could teach him more of speaking to the spirits. Kettch just had to find him first...
But first, he really should thank the Great Spirit who had done this. Kettch scratched his head as he looked around the area he was in now. For such a powerful spirit, not just any old spot would do to give thanks. He would need to find a sacred place - like the Soul Tree groves back home...
As he looked, a wash of vivid pink caught his eye, curious, Kettch headed in that direction. Stepping out of the small wood, he found himself in a clearing with a great tree in the center. A truly amazing tree!
It wasn't as big as most trees on Endor, but it was magnificent! It's crown was bright pink and shimmered in the light breeze! Petals swirled like snow in deep winter throughout the clearing. Surely this was a sacred place! This amazing tree was surely a powerful tree spirit itself! Was it the Great Spirit that had turned the lifeless stone land into lush green growth?
Kettch padded out into the clearing, stopping on the way to gather a pouchful, and two handfuls, of the blessed petals from the ground. As he came before the grand tree he threw his arms up into the air, tossing petals in imitation of the tree before he called out to the tree spirit.
"Hear me, oh spirit of the great Flower Snow Tree! Great is your beauty that you bless Mother Land's children with! You bring color and life to this land of stone and bare earth! Far from home, you bring us beauty and life! I am Kettch! Hear this far-wandering ewok's thanks and praise!"
