In which the former queen relocates [closed]

Arika stands at the front of the Jedi Temple, a bag of undergarments in one hand, and the other relaxed at her side. She is dressed in the outfit that Rein had made for her, looking at the temple with a somewhat intrigued, and yet sedated, expression. The structure is familiar, if only in the building techniques, and for a brief moment, she remembers Ostia, and the magic world, and she feels a small ache.

But that is gone as quickly as it had come. She does not have much effort to miss her old home. She has her son now. She has that part of her that she'd had to leave behind for his own safety. Negi requires all her attention and affection. The motherly affection that he'd been deprived of as a child.

Arika shifts on her feet, her low heels making click click sounds against the ground. She waits exactly where Negi told her to wait for him -- right in front of the temple. She assumes that this way, he won't have to go far to look for her in the city.

Konoka smacked a fist into her palm, finally understanding. "I see!" Meditation would make it easier for her to bring out and control her powers, and that could always help!

And then Arika discussed making food--she hadn't cooked in a while, but it sounded like something she wanted to help with. "I can cook! Let me help!" She chirped.

"The kitchen is always open," said Negi as he stepped back into the bus and held out the door for everyone. "The guest suites are down the hall. It's a little bigger than the dorm rooms but they're for visitors than anything else."

He rubbed his head. "I thought you'd like one of them mother so I got one ready."

Katara was inclined to follow (being one that was helping Arika out with the bags) but more specifically because if Konoka and Arika were going to be cooking, Katara wanted to watch. She knew how to make food, but a lot of that was mostly in the Southern Water Tribe, so you made do with what you had. That didn't always leave a lot of room for versatility.

Konoka, on the other hand, was raised to be a perfect girl for whoever may land her as a bride, though it was looking quite fast as Setsuna being that victor if her affection was the judge. She couldn't wait to see what Arika was capable of in the kitchen.

"C'mon!" She said, trying to eagerly usher everyone inside.

Negi chuckled as his hair was smoothed down as he led the group into the room nearby, leading into a room with a queen sized bed with the covers all neatly made. There was a nice homey feel to it, and Negi had set up the room so that it looked similar to a high arched cabin room similar to Evangeline's cabin.

"Here we go," said Negi.

She was glad that Arika thought so, though she was definitely a little curious about her now too. Arika's demeanor was like a few adults she'd met on her world" guarded, quiet. She was sure that under different circumstances, sh would have reacted warmly to her son looking out for her despite his young age. There had to be something more to her.

"Is there anything else we can do for you?"

Konoka too, found her mother curious. She was aware of Arika's story... well most of it, after she got free, but after that still evaded her. Scooting ever so subtly over to Katara, she also echoed the girl's sentiments. "Anything at all? We can help!"

She wasn't sure when she needed to extract the girl to the side, but she kept close for when that opportunity needed to happen.

"Please mother?" asked Negi, turning wide eyes at her, trying his best attempt at intentional puppy dog eyes. "They can help out and you could tell them your story too!"

Katara nodded. If there was something that she knew a bit about, thanks to all of the time she'd been here, it was the ship.

"It depends a lot on where you want to go. For research on things of different planets and general knowledge, the best place to go is the Media Library. As far as simulating experiences, places, things that you used to know, you'll want to go down to the Sensoriums: they can take extract anything from your memory and make you relive it again. If you're looking for one of the few places Stacy can't touch but you can still fall upon just about anything, you'll want to go down to the City. It's the biggest place on the ship, ad all of the things in it we still haven't completely explored yet. There are other places too-hydroponics, where all kinds of alien animals and plants grow, the mess hall where you can have that disgusting slop, weapons and possessions where you can recover lost items. There are a lot of thing around the ship we don't really know about, and until a few months, Stacy wasn't willing to tell us."

Most of this information was actually new to Konoka as well--as a matter of fact, she needed to get a move on!

However, she was looking forward to Negi's father. "I look forward to it!" She smiled brightly at the woman.

"Father's antics?" Negi's eyes were shining with the possibility of new information on his father acted. There was so little that he could read on him that wasn't official.
