the grass is always greener...
Laurie lies upon a field of flowers, Spot chasing the butterflies, her bag with her books, her papers and her pencils emptied next to her. She'd tried to write a few lines but all she ended up with were some dry lines, which she'd ended up erasing and erasing.
"This is hard," she sighs, rolling over on her stomach, peeking through the wildflowers, watching Spot try to catch a butterfly with his mouth, but the gorgeous orange sulphur flitted away just in time. It made her laugh softly. "But I guess you're having an even harder time, huh?"
Spot trots over and nudges Laurie's head. She reaches up and scatches that one place behind his ear that he loves getting scratched.

The field of flowers seemed like a good place to let Fati romp around in. Rei wasn't sure who else was here, but it was nice. Peaceful, rather pretty. Lots of open room. Still, he knew that people occasionally liked to stage practice battles in the sensoriums, so Fati was going to stay on her leash for now.
After a while of walking around in the field, Fati started barking excitedly. It took Rei a moment to spot the girl and her dog.
"I was wondering where the rest of the dogs went," he said as he let his puppy lead him over to the two.

"Uh, mind if I let her off her leash?" Rei asked cautiously. He wasn't sure if there was an etiquette dog owners had to follow with that kind of thing, but best to make sure. Besides, last time Fati had found the sensoriums full of flowers, she had decided it was an awesome idea to pee on everything. Rei didn't want to possibly offend the young lady by letting his dog do that.

Laurie notices the urgency in the other pup's eyes and laughs softly. "They're a danger in themselves."
She nods her head. "Sure. There isn't really another exit besides the entrance, so your dog'll be safe off-leash." She doesn't really have to worry about Spot, since the pup sticks close by her at all times for pettings and ear scratchings. Spoiled pup.

He knelled down and unhooked Fati's leash, at which point the puppy darted forward to sniff Spot. "I'm not sure if we've been introduced," he said as she did, "I'm Rei. This little monster is Fati."

"Hey there. Mind if I join you?" He called out as he approached her. Best to be safe and not startle anyone until he knew what they were capable of.

Is that who she thinks it is?
"N-not at all!"

"I take it you know me?"

Though even he had to admit it was a very nice, relaxing field of flowers, and after all that running around he'd been doing with the Rogues lately, sitting down was almost tempting.
But not if he was intruding on somebody else's private time. "Hey, uh, am I interrupting anything?"

Spot bumps his nose against Laurie's leg, whining for attention that Laurie had stopped giving him when Axl entered the sensoriums.

"Yea...it really is pretty." Laurie briefly looks away, scratching behind Spot's other ear, then turning back to Axl, smile now at a eighty-eight-point-five degrees notch. "This is my first time using the sensoriums, actually. I usually just walk in on someone else."

When she spotted Laurie and Spot, she smiled, slowly approaching them. "He's very cute."

Spot stops semi-purring under Laurie's pettings and looks up at Dhianelia. He gets very excited at her bright appearance and starts to jump up and down, yipping a bit.

"Did he wake up here with you?"
