The Search Continues! A Fortress of SCIENCE Appears

For Kouji, the ship was getting weirder and weirder. From learning his world was possibly gone to finding his giant mecha in a hanger with a giant aircraft variable fighter carrier. At this point, he wouldn't be surprised at anything else anymore.

Having found his old motorcycle, Kouji drove across the City, trying to get his mind off of everything... that is, until he saw it.

The Photon Power Plant. It was home and a symbol of hope for his world. Where the greatest minds worked on using Photonic Energy to help the world, creating and refining the alloy Chogokin-Z and its derivatives.

Tearing his motorcycle towards the building, he hopped off and burst inside, finding the place somewhat of a mess. Flipping a switch, the lights inside kicked on. Kouji began looking around the place, trying to see what he could find. After awhile, he stopped and went for that omnicomm he got. He knew this place probably wouldn't do much for him, but for the others?

It was the motorcycle that caught his attention. That familiar noise, rumbling past the forge where Dustin was currently poking around at a bit of odd metal he found lying in the corner, made him drop his work and limp out the door, watching as it and its rider disappeared further into the City. Curious as always, Dustin decided he’d follow it for a little bit.

That turned out to be a far longer journey than he originally planned. It wasn’t until halfway that Dustin even checked his omnicom and saw the message in question, at which point his interest was permanently glued to this location. Somewhere inside that haggard, scruffy, frowning head of his, a geeky child with large goggles plastered to his face was leaping with enthusiasm.

He found the bike parked outside, pausing for a moment to admire it, before hobbling inside the building after its owner. An overcoat-clad figure stood in the doorway and frowned at the back of the other fellow’s head, a static expression.

Dustin cleared his throat.

“Eventually.” His voice was terse and gruff, perhaps a little annoyed. Dustin had been expecting something less…dilapidated. Impressive, sure, but there was no way it could be used effectively in this state.

The genius’s eyes darted to the abandoned gun. Then they traveled to meet its owner’s gaze, even and narrowed.

Good. It would have been unfortunate if he decided to use that.

Dustin shifted the backpack over his shoulder and hobbled further in, breaking the stare as to get a better look at the messy area in which he now found himself. “…Well, it’s a power plant. Anything else done here?”

Perhaps those consoles in the corner would be more immediately informative…

Dustin glanced over Kouji’s shoulder, eyes flicking at he read through the information flashing past, glinting first with curiosity at the devices, then with understanding at the formulas. Behind those green eyes there were gears turning, quickly filling in the blanks where they appeared in his universe’s understanding, coming up with alternative explanations to anything he couldn’t readily conjure—which, in this case, was very little. Of course there was also the robot.

It took quite a bit of restraint to keep himself from smiling. Dustin leaned forward, trying to edge in for a better look. “This is more like it,” he murmured—and rounded for the center of the floor, having seen all he required.

“Damage assessment?”
