This is my Eva; there are many like it, but this one is mine! [Closed]
Asuka grinned. She'd been waiting for a few minutes now - this guy (whoever he was) had better show up soon! She didn't have all day, as much as she wanted someone to get her beautiful Unit 02 working again. Sure, she'd had an X-Wing to pilot and the training and all of that, but she really wanted to be able to sit in Unit 02 again, to be able to take the fight to the enemy, to get up close and personal.
She'd been born for this, after all.
She let her legs dangle - she'd already called up a simulation of the Eva and she was perched on its shoulder, about forty meters off the ground. She didn't mind the height. She was used to it. Besides, her Eva was a safe zone for her. If she could get it to run without external power, well... she'd be unstoppable. She knew that much.

"I'm--well!" Speechless was also good, right? Though it might be unlikely that Asuka could actually hear him where he was.
Still, he had an incredible amount of data to process. This was a good thing. But he definitely still wanted to get Asuka's input as to anything else he might need to know, and what she might want done to her machine.
After all, he was VERY used to people and their "babies". He was the only one who could touch his best friend's car, back home, after all.

"Pretty impressive, huh? And that's only a taste of what I can do once I get going!"
Arrogance dripped from her voice. She cocked her hip and settled her hand against grinning, "Think you can do something about it? We couldn't make a generator small enough back home, but here..."
no subject
"So, I'd still like your opinions. How small do you want the energy source?" He'd really need to get his paws on some schematics, but he was hoping Stacy would provide that. "I assume you want as much power as I can theoretically have it pour out with your unit's capability to take it?"
Dangerous ground, Stephen, watch where you tread!

She called up a three-dimensional image of the Eva and it's usual power source. She jabbed a finger at the trailing cable and traced it up to the power slots high on the back of the monstrous machine. "It can jack in there, I guess. Maybe jettisonable if there's an emergency or something. I think it's doable. In theory."
no subject
"Jettisonable if necessary. Hm. Yes, I can definitely come up with something, I think. I'd like to see the actual unit, but I'll enter some data into my omnicomm and get to work. I plan to make a prototype to be certain it can interface properly, and not damage your unit." Because Stephen was a careful sort of fellow.
"You don't mind if I make records of the power source I build and leave them on file in Engineering, do you?"
no subject
She finally glanced at him with another shrug, "Oh, you might as well go ahead and leave the schematics..."
no subject
Not that it always happened that way.
"Well. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help you out, Miss Soryu. I'll get right to work on looking up the schematics, and as soon as I have the prototype ready for you--give me a week, maybe? I'll be in touch. If some problem comes up, I'll be sure to contact you."
Though he really didn't expect the latter to happen, Stephen was just expressing professional courtesy.
