Dark Lady
With no other real goal in mind other than amusing herself, Alessa had aged herself slightly. She could switch back to her younger human guise when she felt the need, but for now she wanted to test this incarnation out, just to see what would come of it. She had left her part of Silent Hill for a little bit and decided that she would go to the mess hall, poking at the glop that even the humans on the ship hesitated to call food: she couldn't really blame them.
She didn't mind this aging: it gave her more maneuverability with her body, and the added height was a bonus. Of course, she would retain her younger Alessa body when she reverted to her demon self, but this was fine. Her hair seemed to have a glossiness she hadn't recalled in her younger body, and she saw better occasion to actually dress in something beside the damning uniform Alessa had worn.
She wondered if she would actually meet any of her friends today: Vivio, Sasami, even Nanoha. That in itself was strange: FRIENDS was not a word she would have ever associated with herself, and it was strange enough wondering what she and Shadow were, though she knew for certain that he approved of her new look. It was funny, how something like this changed certain people's perception of you.
If they didn't know or care you were a demon, that is.

"You think you've got me whipped huh? You think that just because you're bland and sort of look like tofu gone horribly wrong that I'll put up with eating you right?" He was of coarse addressing the glop, "Well jokes on you pal I found a secret weapon stashed away!"
With great flourish he drew out of all things, a bottle of soy sauce. "Let's see you stand up to this you mushy muck!" he applied a liberal amount to the mush and began stirring it together before sampling it.
...better. Not great but he'd live.

"Does it taste any better?"

"The sauce itself is good: a thick, dark and flavorful. The consistency of the slop itself is bland, so it compliments what it can. Personally, I would rather just have the sauce."
She paused. "Why are you green? Are you from earth or somewhere else?"
no subject
"Oh this?" He pulled the bottle out of his mouth and grinned, "You'd be surprised how often I get asked that...or maybe you wouldn't. I am from Earth...one of them at least. And I'm human too!"
He wiggled his ears cheerfully, "When I was just a kid I was bitten by a monkey with the disease Sakutia. It turns animals green and is deadly to humans. My dad messed with my genetics though...oh I shoulda mentioned he's a scientist, and saved my life."

"Oh, and accident," Alessa said. "I've heard how a few of those involving certain circumstances actually have a tendency to grant one powers rather than mutate them horribly or kill them. Funny how these things work. In my world, I'm certain it would have been death."
She thought a moment. "So do you have powers, or are you simply just green?"

"A cat," she said.

"Can you change into anything?"

The girl put a plate of glop down across from Alessa and sat down. "What's with the new look?"
The relatively small change in age was more interesting to her than a larger one would have been; she had once habitually taken an adult form, but incremental change was suggestive of a more 'natural' process, if the word could be applied to a demon.
"And where'd you get the cat?"

As for the rapidly changing animal, she gave a smile. "This isn't a cat of mine. This is someone on the ship. He has extraordinary powers, don't you think?"

Entering the room and preparing to get her own slop, she blinked as she noticed Alessa and her older form. She couldn't help but blink, confused as to who the person was. However, looking her over a bit, she started to realize who it was.
"...Alessa? Is that you?"
no subject
"Yes, its me," Alessa said. "I decided to upgrade a little bit on my human appearance. What do you think?"
no subject
"Why did you change, though?" she asked, tilting her head.

She shrugged. "I'm used to people hating me for being a demon, but I don't like people thinking I'm a child when I'm actually much older than them. That, and my younger body is more susceptible to damage during battle. This way I'm a bit stronger."

She shrugged. "But I would be sad if you were gone."

She looked down a bit, the smile still there. "I love all of my friends very much. Even you. I don't want Stacy or anyone else take them away from me..."

She stared at her friend. "I'm more concerned with your well being on the ship. That tussle you had with Evangeline- I would prefer that not happen again. She and I are friends, but if she attacked you, that might not be the case anymore. You should realize by now I wouldn't let you get hurt needlessly. For now, I'll leave that responsibility to that boy, but should I ever have to get involved on your behalf, it will not be pretty."
