Zen Garden, sort of [Open like an open thing]

Wanda had spent some time in hydroponics. Of course she always loved nature and simply that didn't change simply because it was unfamiliar. The City was nice but in the end she had no real connection to the buildings. Here, though, here was a wonderful place to sit and think.

She sat cross legged off one of the paths and closed her eyes, breathing deeply before opening them again. She was more in tune with herself her, and her magic. It was peaceful.

Alessa had far more pressing things on her mind than staving off to relax, but it was also true that she hadn't visited this particular place yet. She'd stumbled here, curious abut what was left of the alien puppies people had seemed so fond of. Most were gone, and she amused herself with the bio luminescence of the fora and fauna.

So when coming upon the person here, she greeted her as she would have any other person: the main difference from usual is that she was taller, sturdier, and curious about the energy being expelled. She wandered over to Wanda.

"What are you doing?"

She could see that: well, at least, she could observe that from Wanda anyway. Understanding it was a different matter altogether. In seconds, Alessa was going from one corner of the bay to another, looking at the foreign objects, staring at the strange new creatures that inhabited it.

"I suppose this is an adequate place for recreation," Alessa said. "But if that was what youi wanted, why not go to the Jedi temple, or the Sensoriums?"

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," Alessa said, a phrase that was tried but true and especially applicable when it came to living on the ship. She stared in the distance at the creature, which backed away the moment it saw Alessa looking at her.

"You see one species of animal scared of you, you've seen them all," Alessa said. "What purpose will this serve for you?"

Alessa stared. "A witch. Well that explains you then. You would have a natural inclination to be in a place like this. To me, it is nothing but a temporary convenience, to make pleasing a situation that is not. We are traveling through space, without a home, with a poorly reacting crew."

She shrugged. "The world, the universe, existence is a temporary thing. Why feel attachment to imagery?"

"I understand your meaning," Alessa said. "I understand that everything in the world has a pulse, radiating in what most people find beautiful. Even in its alien form, this place clearly had a tangible beauty in it, the fora and fauna in peaceful coexistence. But you know that I am a demon, and a very specific kind. The backdrops I like are the ones that are bare, or even ravaged: in its own way, it has a beauty all its own. However, like many other things on the ship, that perspective is limited to only a few."

She shrugged. "Do you...feel comfortable on this ship?"

"I wouldn't imagine it to be an easy question," Alessa said. "But I do have another one for you, and it will help you understand what I was talking about a little. What is your purpose on the ship, do you think?"

She didn't know how Wanda's type dealt with demons, and most likely, it wasn't all that different from anyone else's perspective. But she would certainly be interested in Wanda's version of "grown accustomed."

Alessa gazed at her a moment, thinking. "You remind me of Sasami a little bit. I guess I can imagine that an adult would actually care about things like that. It almost makes me wish I cared about all of this enough to have convictions so clear. Almost."

"That...used to be the way," Alessa said. "At least, the only person I cared for was the one whose wish I granted. Still, that was what I was, but even I am subject to the wills of this place. Things change."

She looked around the bat a moment. "I like the glow."
