Amuro is currently the hanger, his usual default location. Right now, he's seated in Nu Gundam's cockpit, pouring over a datapad containing readouts of all of the other mechs and vehicles used by his newfound compatriots. At the same time, he's programming simulations involving them into Nu's computer-It's true that he could use the sensorim to handle the same routines, but like most people, he's most comfortable doing things his own way.
Of course, Nu Gundam's built in simulator was nothing to scoff at itself- As he works, he installs training programs. No telling when a new recruite or pod-pop might need to learn how to handle a mobile suit...

After a moment, he decided to send a query signal to the other pilot's cockpit, just out of curiosity - he wondered who was working on the other machine.

"Nu Gundam, Amuro Ray, responding-" He answered through the voice channel.

He answered the call, and an image of the older pilot appeared on one of the Freedom's viewscreens. "Ah... it's Kira Yamato here. Sorry, I was just wondering who else was working on the mobile suits."

And Amuro's listening, too. So, another Gundam pilot computer nerd?
"A new program? That does sound interesting. I've usually based unknown data using comparisons with known units... If you've written a better system for that, I'd like to take a look."

Fingers flew over the in-cockpit keyboard as Kira delved deeper into the Os. "It analyzes the data and extrapolates points of motion and observed behavior to help fill in what we don't have. I'm still trying to refine how it works and make it more accurate, but... it should be faster than doing it by hand."
Typing. "I'll transmit it as soon as this latest iteration finishes compiling. It won't be more than a few minutes."
