PUPPIES! ALIEN PUPPIES!
The battle with the Ohm was over but for anyone in hydroponics, there was no peace and quiet. The caretakers of an animal rescue had forgotten a number of puppies when they left. Daimon and Billy had no choice but to bring them aboard. And so almost a dozen young, alien puppies of different breeds and possibly species, were rough housing each other in as noisy a manner as possible. One of the puppies in particular had taken a liking to the Son of Satan and was licking the only exposed part of his skin in its reach, his ankle. Daimon stared down at it, frowning.
"Shoo. Go play." He shook his foot. The dog made an odd squeaking sound, and paused to stare at him before going back to licking.

"Oh, they're so cute!"

"Yes. Mr. Cranston, a young woman I am not acquainted with, and I saved them during the crisis. Would you, perhaps, be interested in adopting one?"

It is sort of every young girl's wish to get a puppy at some point in their life (or a pony, whichever came first).
"Yes. I'd love to."

Well, it was mostly tranquil. From not too far away, she could hear a strange squeaking sound, and a man talking. She moved in that direction and gasped when she saw them -- several small, adorable animals, and a man standing near them. "Well, this is a surprise."

She moved closer and crouched down, hand outstretched toward the one that was licking at the man's ankle. "Are they from the world we visited on shore leave?"

Puppies. Lots of them.
Sarah stared down at them for a long while until a puppy launched itself at her legs hard enough that she wound up on her rear. She blinked in surprise.

Ahem, no one heard that, right? Right.
"Whosagoodlil'aliendoggie, yesyouare, yesyouare."
Kon had approached one of the more...catankerous and vicious-looking of the bunch, and it growled at him and immediately clamped its jaws around his wrist, trying to bite him. Hard.
"Haha, you're bitey, aren't you. Bitey bitey bitey. Almost tickles."
The dog, very confused, gnawed a few times on Kon's arm, whined, and let go. Then Kon held out his hand for it to sniff and slowly went to scratch its head.
Before long, the dog had gone from growling and aggressive to a puddle of happy puppy, leg twitching away as Kon scritched doggy belly.
"Fffft, Krypto's gonna be jealous." A pause. "Then again, Krypto could use a friend. Streaky annoys the hell out of him."

"Back home, I have a dog, but he may as well be a whole kennel since he's just about as much of a handful as a dog can be. His name's Krypto. Most people think taking care of a normal dog is hard--they haven't had to handle an alien one that take out squirrels with heatvision."
The dog was licking his face enthusiastically.
"These guys need owners, don't they."

When she arrived, she looked over the pets. There were several cute looking ones, odd looking ones, all varying in shapes and sizes. She looked around by herself a few minutes, then walked over to the alien pet that seemed different from the others to her. It glanced over everything with a sort of dignity, like it was slowly assessing its environment. It was on the big side, about a little less than half Katara's size, and she stared at the dog, and it stared back. Slowly, she grinned, and the dog responded by a uttering a quiet, "Yargz."
"I like this one (http://media.photobucket.com/image/alien%20dogs/Rogue-Gladiator/Submissions/alien-dog-1.gif)."

There was one being claimed by a friend of his, though, so he had to smile. "I think it likes you too."

"I have a feeling its going to get fairly big," she commented. "It's only a puppy and its already half my size! I wonder if it'll let me ride it?"
And now for a name.
"I'm going to call you Zhin!"

Her face lit up as she drifted towards the cluster of strange animals. She barely acknolwedged the humans present, immediately gravitating towards one of the puppies. She picked it up closing her eyes for a moment to listen to its heart.
Satori opened her eyes, smiling faintly at the animal. "You're not the only one here who's lost their home. It's all right to be afraid."

"Where... oh my goodness, they're so cute! Where did these little guys come from?"

One fluff ball of a puppy (http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/8/2009/06/340x_cj7.jpg) was racing around the others, hopping up and down and making a bark that sounded more like a chirp. Rei reached out to pet the little thing, which flopped over and let him pet it's belly. "So, what's going to happen to them now?" He asked.

She cooed, then covered her mouth. So much for the tough girl image, disappearing in smoke. Taking on a much more neutral face, she inched her way closer to them, before coughing.
"O-oh. Interesting Canis lupus specimens you've got there. I've never seen them so...colorful." Yeap, keep speaking like that, no one was going to notice the fact your eyes were as wide as dollar plates. Nope.

Not that he was going to say so. Loudly... much. He's tough really and not a sucker for puppy eyes.
Except his brother's... or Cas's.... or... uh ok, secret cream puff with a small smile for the dogs.
