Gundam Strategy, and Tactics Meeting [Closed to Rogue Squadron]

The meeting was overdue, but with the recent attack there was little that could be done. The headquarters conference room had been set up as was required for a meeting of this nature. The chairs had been moved into into a semi circle, the center table had been moved against a wall, and there was a large white board that someone had managed to scavenge placed in the middle. There was even fresh caf brewed with all it's accompaniments, and some mugs laid out on a table at the back wall. Everything the squadron would need for a long session of discussion of how to make more effective use of some of it's newest assets.

[OOC: Katarn is not at this meeting or participating. This is just a set up post done as a favor to Milo, and Fiver as they are already swamped with a ton of this rogue squadron stuff. Have fun with it everyone! Oh, and remember whoever drinks the last of the caf has to brew a new pot.]

This meeting was for Wedge and Tycho to talk to ... basically all the Gundam pilots except for Shinn. Tycho took his place at the front of the room, and waited for the rest of the pilots to arrive.

Kira was early, it seemed - and the quiet young man didn't seem any less quiet as he greeted Tycho with a polite incline of his head. "Colonel."

Yzak took a seat, glancing around to the other pilots currently in the room. "Colonel," he addressed Tycho with a nod .

Kira looked over at the white-haired pilot. "...Yzak." Before the recent sortie, it had been quite a long time since they'd flown on the same side in the same battle - not since Jachin Due. And before that, well, they'd been enemies.

This was going to take some getting used to, wasn't it.

Quite a bit.

"Kira Yamato," he responded. He wasn't actually informed that Shinn hadn't been invited, so he assumed the boy was simply still recovering. Clearly, that was the best subject of a conversation over the awkward greeting.

"At least you didn't get knocked around enough to have to skip out on this."

"No, I suppose I was lucky," Kira nodded. "I've healed up by now. How are you?"

"I'm fine." He leaned back, crossing one leg over the other and considering the coffee. "Like hell I'd let those stupid things get the best of me."

"You're a better pilot than that," Kira agreed, following Yzak's gaze and briefly wondering what Andy would have to say about the coffee here. Probably nothing good. "I'm just glad we didn't lose anybody."

He gave Kira a strange look. This was, what, the second time he complimented him? Yzak wasn't a stupid judge of character, he knew Kira was the nice type, but still ... it just felt weird.

"We came damned close, though." He let out a huff, recalling their last battle, and how close Shinn had been to being completely wiped out. Hell, how many times he could have just as easily fallen victim to their attacks. "So I can only imagine this discussion's going to make sure that it stays that way."

Hey, Yzak was a good pilot despite Kira having kicked his ass that one time with the Freedom and Kira had no problem acknowledging that. Besides, the sooner they got comfortable with being on the same siade the better.

"Our luck can't last forever," Kira nodded. "The sooner they figure out how to use our suits with the X-Wings, the better."

Hobbie is here. Mostly to back up Wedge and Tycho and also because he really ought to know this stuff. He doesn't want to get vaped because he doesn't know a Gundam's capabilities.

But he probably will. Just saying.

Kira's already there, waiting for others. He doesn't recognize the older man. "...you're one of the X-Wing pilots?"
