Medbay visit (open)
Giles still wasn't entirely happy about not being able to fight, but it would do no good to stay down there and get himself killed. He'd let himself be taken back aboard the ship and now he lay on one of the medbay beds, waiting his turn for a healer. Not doctor in this case, most of the ship's medical crew used methods that the doctors in his Earth would have been surprised by. He wasn't bleeding or anything, and he'd gotten some pain meds, but he'd still be glad to get it over with and get out of here. Giles had been in hospitals way too often over the years, and he hated them by now.

"Hello, Katara said. "Can you tell me where you're hurt? I'd like to help heal you. You were with us earlier, weren't you? I didn't get to catch your name."

"I think I broke a rib or two...and possibly my arm. I'm not certain" he told her with a wince, holding up the arm in question. "Not sure about the legs either. Nothing broken that I can discern, but that was a rough landing. The pain is kind of radiating through me."

With all of those injuries, she figured he was going to need a full treatment healing. She took a deep breath, and brought out all of the water that she had in her pouch and surrounded the man with a glowing blue, slowly starting all over his body. This was likely going to take most of her strength, so she knew she had to take a rest after.

"I guess it's hard not to get into the midst of everything in the fight against evil, though."
Giles was a bit surprised by the blue glow, and his eyes widened a bit. He wasn't as surprised as others might have been, though, given the strange things he saw all the time in his world. He'd heard of demons with abilities like this, but had never encountered one himself.

And she agreed with the last statement. "As long as you know what you're fighting for, exactly."
She paused. "Wait a minute...you don't know anyone named Xander, do you?"
no subject
"Yes...yes I do, in fact. We've worked together quite a while as well. " Giles replied. She might know more than he'd been saying if she'd talked to Xander, but he wasn't certain.

She grinned. "Yeah, that's right! You're Buffy's watcher, aren't you?"

Giles wasn't totally surprised that the girl had met Buffy, but it did make him wonder how much she knew exactly.
"Yes...You've met her, then? She's a remarkable girl. Headstrong, but truly remarkable. You'll have to forgive me, I'm still adjusting, I suppose, to this environment, and how much more in the open everything seems to be. Of course, even back home, things had a way of getting out with Buffy as the slayer."

Katara nodded. "Yup! Here, Xander, and I fought a vampire guy once. I never did get to fight with Buffy, but from what I've heard, she's really good at what she does. The openness is pretty much because everyone has powers, or is a mutant or remarkable in their own way. About the only thing we're truly united on is defeating the Ohm."

"It is certainly different being in a place like this." he said. "I'm familiar with the concept of other dimensions and worlds, but there are so many that you never really know what you're going to run into next."
"Buffy is...extraordinary, even for someone with her gifts. And...there were vampires on here? Do you know if they are still here anywhere?"
no subject
She nodded. "Oh, we have a few vampires on board. None of them are going around biting people, but then its pretty obvious why that's the case. One of my instructors is one though."

"Children do seem to be more even when turned, sometimes. I'm not sure why, although it's not very common to see a child vampire. I've only heard of one that Buffy encountered."
"The one from my world is Spike. He's...well, he used to be rather evil, but things have happened that quited him down a bit, made him start to change in certain ways. I don't know if he's entirely a hero or not, although he did fight for his soul and he did save the world once. Hasn't made him any less annoying or changed his personality much, though. You'll know him right away because of his long duster coat and all the bleach in his hair."

She sighed. Evangeline...is like nothing anyone has ever met. I mean, I've met children that weren't great, but Evangeline is something kinda different."
She knew that name sounded familiar. "I feel like I met him once, but the memory is hazy. He was pretty difficult."
