After talking to Ben, Luke had decided to go to the Jedi Temple and practice some of his lightsaber forms, working off some of the energy that had built up with a full night of sleep and a healing trance besides. As well as to calm his mind, keep it focused; he had the sense that they were standing on the brink, watching the storm come swiftly in, and knew that he and the other Jedi would need to get together and work things out, checking in with all of them.
Focus. Feel the Force, let it flow through you.
His green blade sliced through the air, leaving glowing trails behind, concentrating on those first teachings Obi-Wan had given to him on the Falcon, many years ago. And gradually, Luke slipped into a sort of trance, the Force wrapping around him and supporting every simulated parry, every practiced strike.

It was a shame that he spoiled it all by crashing through the door and shouting.
"Just what do you think you are doing here?! Do you have any idea what this is?!"

But not this day.
Her feet found her at the jed-Eye temple and she sat to watch Luke, drinking in the way he fought, as eager as ever to learn even if her own blade would not be firm when she held it now.

"Arha!" Walking over and taking his friend up in a hug--one not as tight as it could be, considerate of any injuries she had left. "It's so good to see you up and about. How are you doing?"

When Qui-Gon had died, Obi-Wan had known what to do next; Anakin's training was both duty and legacy. When Siri had died, again the then-Padawan Skywalker had been his focus. Follow orders, train your student. Carry on.
But now, with everything that had been Anakin dead...Obi-Wan hardly knew where to turn.
He simply closed his eyes and let Luke's Force-presence wash over him, waiting patiently for his exercise to finish. When it was done, He smiled wanely at his once and future student.
"Hello, Luke."

"Master Kenobi," he said, grinning as he bowed respectfully. "I'm glad to see you're all right."

He had a sword.
That was also a LASER.
It was a LASER SWORD.
IT WAS A SWORD MADE OF LASERS.
He didn't know how it was made, or its particular significance. All that he knew, with absolute certainty, was that short of Toothless and the existence of girls, it was the coolest thing to ever exist.
EVER.

"Hello, there!" he greeted, smiling.
no subject
"Your sword."
Yeah, no idea.
"You have a sword. That's made of light."

Koishi had seen a lot of people fight with swords. It was only natural, being a traveller in what was pretty much feudal-era Japan. But she had never seen a sword like that, so instead of continuing her aimless wandering of this building she hasn't explored yet, she stood off to the side to watch Luke, a look of curiosity on her face.
Should Luke snap out of the trance he had fallen into and notice her, he might notice something very strange: he can't sense her at all. There's no hint of Force, or energy, or anything coming from this girl. it was almost as if she wasn't even there.

And when Luke whirled in that direction, the point of his lightsaber describing an arc in the air, he could see this being was neither a Vong nor carrying one of the Myrkr-originating lizards. It was for that reason he did not turn his practice strike into a real one, but instead deactivated his lightsaber and stood still a moment, looking at the young woman and catching his breath.
"Sorry, I didn't see you there," he said, smiling a bit as curiosity took over. "Hi."
no subject
"That's a pretty cool sword. I've seen swords and lasers that kind of look like swords, but never a laser sword. How do you do it?"

But as she heard the hum of a lightsaber from outside, she couldn't help but go inspect - it was Luke, of course, obviously in the middle of practice. Using her magic to fly was a bit painful, but she didn't want to interrupt him, so she stood quietly and watched as he went through his motions. It was elegant and even beautiful, in a way.

"Hey, Nanoha!" he said, grinning--though that turned into a look of concern when he saw her injuries. "How are you? You okay?"

Talk.
Anything but sit there and stare. Still, she wanted to thank Luke for helping Steve. Miku cleared her throat, "Luke-s... Luke?"

It still hurt her heart to think about how much older Luke was here. It felt like she'd somehow broken her promise to herself to keep him safe, as silly as that was.

"Hi," he said, smiling and going over, though he doubted she'd want to hug him in his present sweaty condition. "How's it going, Leia?"
