Reflections [Open]
The Juraian Royal Palace, Sasami's home, was becoming less and less empty. The additions that she got from the planet before everything went south helped fill in the holes. The sounds of odd barking and meowing also liven things up - she had somehow brought one of the alien puppies she rescued and it had made fast friends with Ryo-Ohki.
However, despite what was going on, she wasn't feeling too bright. Despite what they had done, they still didn't win. It was just plain luck that allowed her to survive that day.
She looked around her home, trying to figure out something to do to pass the time away and get her mind off of what happened. Though, the more she thought, the more she realized something was missing, but couldn't put her finger on it...
"Am I forgetting something?" Sasami asked herself randomly. It felt odd, but it was like something was missing and she couldn't put her finger on it. She shook her head and continued on. Maybe she was acting silly. With that, Sasami continued on through her home, a slight limp in her step as she did.

However, for reasons she couldn't understand, her mind wandered to Sasami, wondering if that alien girl could protect herself. That thought in itself was strange to her, and despite not really getting it, she had found herself back where she'd met Sasami before, looking for her.
She DID notice the limp, and instead of skulking in the shadows as usual, she appeared directly in front of Sasami, looking a little dangerous. "How did THAT happen?"
no subject
"Um, well..." Sasami stammered. "...I got it helping others in the fight..."
She'd figure it out anyway, why hide it?
no subject
"And did you have any sort of backup?" Alessa asked. "Would they not have tried to prevent your injury?"
no subject
Yes, it was probably a stupid thing to protect animals when the Ohm were attacking everyone else, but still...
no subject
"You should be careful," Alessa said. "I would like to accompany you next time. I can heal my own injuries, but you cannot. I would prefer you not to have this limp again."
no subject
"Though, I wouldn't of went out there if it wasn't for Negi-kun. He gave me what I needed to help others..."
no subject
She wouldn't lie: it was doubtful she even COULD.
"Negi. Who is this Negi-koon?"
no subject
She let out a chuckle when she heard Alessa mention Negi's name.
"Negi Springfield. He's one of the other kids on the ship. And..." she blushed a bit. "...someone special to me."
no subject
Also, she wanted to know the nature of how they knew each other. If he meant any bad intentions toward Sasami, she would make sure this Negi lived in a world of nightmares.
no subject
A smile formed on her face as she chuckled. "And it's just Negi, you don't have to call him all that! But, he shared some of his power with me in... a sort of bond." It was hard to describe what was practically her first real kiss/pactio in a manner that Alessa might understand.
no subject
She watched the reactions of her friend decided for herself immediately that she had to see this JUST Negi Koon Springfield. She wanted to know how this bond worked, and if he lent his power to Sasami, exactly what he expected in return. Such strength was not usually given freely.
"Where can I find him?"

"...if they tried to do something to you, I'd... I wouldn't let them! Not to one of my friends...!" Sasami said, panicked slightly.
no subject
"There are several people in Security, and defying them would be a violation of the stupid constitution they put out. Why would you get in trouble over me?"
no subject
"They would gain a lot of enemies because they want to stay safe in their own zones! And we can't afford that...!"
no subject
She smiled. "But don't underestimate me either, Sasami. I am a very strong demon, and I have already made my home in the City. They would not do anything to me without a fight."
She thought a moment. "May I see the artifact that gave you your power?"
no subject
When Alessa asked about seeing the artifact, Sasami nodded. "Of course." Reaching into her kimono slightly, she pulled out the card bearing the picture of her in her powered armor and held it out to Alessa. "This is what allows me to fight... Negi also can do the same thing as well."
no subject
"So in essence, the pactio acts as a power boost to the both of you," Alessa said. "How fortuitous. I meant to ask you: what powers did you have before this time?"
no subject
It was an odd truth, but it was the truth.

"But, he's also magical, but... I don't know exactly what he can do."
no subject
"I suppose I'll ask Negi when I see him then," Alessa said, "And you..are you all right?"
no subject
Sasami stepped forward a bit, then with a smile, she opened up her arms, intending to hug Alessa as a bit of reassurance.
This time, she was going to see if it was alright.
no subject
The hug thing. Well, with Sasami it felt a little less intrusive, and she HAD been worrying about her well being after all. She returned the hug, albeit gingerly. She wasn't aware of her strength against this girls,' after all.
no subject
"Thank you, Alessa, for checking up on me." Sasami said. Pulling away, she couldn't help but blink and ask something. "...but, why did you? You didn't have to, you know..."
no subject
"I know that," she said. "I chose to because I wanted to. Wouldn't your Negi worry for the same reason?"
no subject
A slight chuckle left her lips. "While you're here, would you like anything?"
no subject
She wrinkled her nose. "Like what?"
no subject
"Anything, really. Anything to eat, drink... that sort of thing." she grinned sheepishly. "I... don't know what you exactly like, but I wanna try to make you feel at home here..."
You can see it in her eyes and hear it in her voice: she's trying her best to make Alessa feel welcome here.
no subject
"I suppose I could have some water and...well, what did you have to eat?"
