In the Pod Caverns, there were the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There was condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slid out onto the floors, covered in slime.

Pop. Poppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiissss.

The lights led Cassie to a large, cylindrical structure that disappeared up into the ceiling. There was an opening in the side of it, just the right size for a person to enter through.

Inside the structure though, it was apparently hollow. No floor, no ceiling, just one giant straw.

Well it hadn't killed her so far, it probably wasn't going to do it now.

"How can it do that when I don't even know what's in this place?"

"Talk about a broken record." Cassie rolled her eyes. "Here goes nothing." She stepped inside.

She stepped onto nothing. And the nothing held her up.
