The battle against the Ohm raged on, and the casualties on the ground were mounting. Injured crew members got emergency treatment in the field, which largely amounted to patching them up so they wouldn't die sometime within the next fifteen minutes. After that, they were quickly picked up by shuttle and brought back to the ship, where they were sent to a medbay that was getting progressively more crowded.

The situation was growing increasingly dire, to the point that Stacy activated one of the AI's to help out.



"Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

Kate could barely limp her way into the medbay. She felt exhausted and hurting, there were multiple acid burns on her body. She had some bloodloss, and injuries from where some of the Grunts tried to slice into her.

She flopped wearily onto one of the beds where she had some quick patches to limit the bleeding, but not much could be done for the burns from the Grenadiers.

"Gee, where should I start?"

The only good part was that it was over. Still it felt strange that they just would leave...

Mordin headed over to Kate as soon as she sat down, waving a medical scanner and his omnitool around as he got a bearing on her injuries.

"Suggest treatment for injuries. Will flush burns with appropriate liquid once make up of chemical that caused them is determined. Blood loss has been patched, suggest sutures." He's already analyzing the data and putting together an appropriate solution. Isn't he great?

Kate gave a yawn, and waved her hand vaguely, clearly ready for a nap.

"Sounds fabulous. Just wake me up when you're done, ok? Thanks." She settled back, and closed her eyes, being no stranger to getting patched up from fights. The life of an Avenger.
