cityship: (Meanwhile...)

"OW! That so totally hurts!" -- Charles Xavier

The battle against the Ohm raged on, and the casualties on the ground were mounting. Injured crew members got emergency treatment in the field, which largely amounted to patching them up so they wouldn't die sometime within the next fifteen minutes. After that, they were quickly picked up by shuttle and brought back to the ship, where they were sent to a medbay that was getting progressively more crowded.

The situation was growing increasingly dire, to the point that Stacy activated one of the AI's to help out.

"Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

Marcus had collapsed in one of the medbay's chairs, although the chair didn't seem very happy about having to take Marcus' weight for an extended period of time. The gashes on Marcus' arms and legs, some of which went deep enough to see shining metal bone through his plantsuit, weren't so much bleeding as they were oozing slowly.

He's clearly not going to die any time soon, but right now it would be extremely difficult for Marcus to pass as human.

Neither could Tenaya, whose Venjix components were visible underneath torn skin, and of course, her right hand had been all but destroyed and had finally fallen off, lying on a pillow next to her. But there were still bleeding cuts on her body--real, human injuries that no machine could fake, just like the one that had confirmed her identity.

But for now, she was unconscious, her systems trying to reboot after the Node's energy had caused them to crash.

Tenaya's systems finally finished rebooting, and she regained consciousness. She gave the EMH a momentary look of confusion before taking a quick assessment of her injuries. And the fact that she was missing a hand.

"Wonderful," she groaned.

"It's sarcasm," she answered. "My favorite language."

She held still so he could take care of her injuries, but she knew she was probably going to have a harder time with her Venjix components.

"You wouldn't happen to be an expert in advanced robotics or treating mostly-converted cyborgs, would you?" she droned. Otherwise, she was going to have to hope she could find the Garage or Venjix Palace.

"Looks like it's back to work," Tenaya drawled. She was going to have to go looking for anything from home after all. And that was after finding someone to fix most of her damaged circuitry to begin with.

At least she'd stopped bleeding. That was the only bright spot in all of this.

Axl is sitting in a nearby chair, swinging his legs impatiently but otherwise not making any kind of fuss. He knows his case is low priority, so he's not about to try to cut in line. His right arm is hanging limply at his side, and there's a large section of exposed circuitry and wires in his upper arm. It's stopped leaking coolant all over the place, but still dripping a bit here and there.

Nope, he doesn't see anything weird about you at all, Marcus.
