sammy's sideways slam

Down in some seedier district deep mainland was an eyesore of neon flashing lights and reedy, trilling alien music that was, once you got used to it, pretty damn good.  It was called Sammy's Sideways Slam and, according to ever local with a half functioning liver (or alien organ equivalent), it served the best, most potent, insanely awesome drinks on the entire planet.  It was also a place were drunk fights went unnoticed, the barkeep knocked heads together on a routine basis, and his wife (Seela'leen and See for short) sang bawdy drinking songs in a voice that simply couldn't fit in her tiny three foot eight body.  Perched up on a counter, the green skinned, emerald eyed woman leaned back, her shock of white and cinnamon striped hair curing over her shoulders, and let another song rip as the band slammed into the appropriate song.

Hooting, the rowdy audience cracked glasses together and sang along.

Sammy's was swinging.

[[OOC: One seedy bar, open location down in the mainland.  Tag the main, tag your friend.  Get wasted, play Sabbac, poker, by smokes off the Gino the bartender, hit on Seela'leen, whatever.  I'll even NPC for you if you want.  I'm late with this post.  So late.  But whatever.  Rogues?  Arha's looking for you.  If you be Rogue, tag into the convo like it is a party, darlings.  She wants her pile of pilots.  if you want a separate tag, go'in do it. ]]

There was a tiny woman walking into the bar.

Small, petite and barely five feet tall, she was dressed in a sundress that demonstrated, by goddamn she was FLAT.

Despite this, she walked into the bar and slapped down a few coins. "Florp."

The giant of a bartender looked up at her and said, "Aren't you a little young to be drinking?"

"Technically I'm two thousand and ten years old," said Rein, embellishing her facts. "Florp."

"Here you go."

Rein took a pull. And to her credit, didn't spray it across the table as it raped her tastebuds.

"Good Florp. Can I get another after this?"

looking for Rogues, you say~?

This same time last week, it never would have occurred to Axl that it was possible for him to get drunk, but Zokez II apparently had other ideas. He couldn't remember what the full explanation was -- something about nanomachines designed to temporarily jumble nerve signals with no corrosive or long term side effects or...something like that? It didn't matter.

What mattered was that all it took was a few words to the bartender about his biology (or lack thereof) and he was getting in on things that his species had never thought possible.

Not a bad way to spend a vacation, in his opinion. And while the first time he'd given it a try this week, he'd stopped before anything hit him too hard (talking to Char had been kind of a distraction), there was no telling if he'd ever get the chance to do this again, and he had every intention of making the most of it.

He made a wave at the barkeep. "Hey, can I get another uh...another this thing?"

"Looks like you've got an admirer," Kang laughed, nodding at Arha in greeting from his seat at the bar. He'd discovered the place earlier that evening, and he'd been having a blast sharing old war stories with a short, dog-like alien and a rather tall (taller than him, and he was seven feet) humanoid covered in bright green feathers.

Axl hadn't actually found a seat yet, with the place as crowded as it was, but as Bojut stumbled off, he helped himself to the spot the alien had just vacated. He probably wouldn't want to be standing up when all this started really catching up to him, anyway.

And he let out an impressed whistle as he watched the bartender got to work on that Molotov Planet. "How many kinds of booze go into that thing?"

He thought he'd seen some of the other Rogues inside from out of the windows.

But as Kira stood in the doorway, he began to have second thoughts. Something told him that this really wasn't his sort of place.

You could almost see Axl's eyes light up. (Possibly even literally.) "That sounds epic. I wonder if they've got all the stuff to do the non-organic version..."

He glanced at the drink he'd just ordered. Well, not like he was going to waste that, either! One more argument for finishing it off faster.

Somehow escaping her husband (nicely, of course), Mara Jade Skywalker definitely ended up in this bar. She could feel Arha's presence somewhere in here, so she slowly made her way to where she figured Arha was.

Of course, if a drink or two entered her ownership while making her way over there, that was not her fault at all.

"Guess I'd better chug this one, then." Axl threw his head back, took a long pull -- and stopped for a moment, looking as though he might've bit off more than he could chew.

"Whoa. Not that this isn't a kick in the pants, too."

"I may never have the chance to do this again," Axl said, his voice carrying a bit more Impatient Kid tone than usual. "I have to make up for lost time!"

He held up a hand as he saw her wave.

It wasn't anything about this bar in particular, but he just really wasn't a ... bar person. Still, there were friends, so he might as well go talk to them...

Oh, man, that tone sounded familiar. It was kind of like the tone Alia always put on when she was telling him no, you're not opening fire until I'm finished scanning the defense perimeter or no, you cannot play Killzone 7 on the giant vidscreen in the control room.

And Arha probably had more than just a very good death glare to back it up, too!

He nodded sheepishly and took a much more reasonable sip.

"It feels like I knocked out a neural relay sensor. Only not all the way, it's just...fuzzy. Usually they either work or they don't." He didn't sound so impatient anymore, but his age was definitely still making itself apparent. "It's awesome."

oh look more rogues

Kyle had been mixed up in the crowd, and only just now managed to push his way to the bar. Ordering up something that looked tasty he was about to settle in at the bar when he noticed Arha, and one of the new kids from the squadron. Smiling he took his drink, and made his way over. "Staying out of trouble you two?"
