Post-Rescue Meeting [Closed]
((OOC: Takes place after this post))
Cassie felt a little better at having Jake tell her to get a meeting going. He may not have made some choices she fully agreed with lately when she came to Stacy, but he was still their leader and it was familiar.
Using the comm rings she contacted Tobias and Marco. She included Ax and Jake so they could know what she said, but she didn't think at the time to include anyone else even though Loren and Elfangor had helped watched over Tom/Iniss as well.
Hey guys... we need to meet up here, something happened. She wasn't sure just how safe the comm rings were so she didn't say too much. They should remember that it was her shift and she still had about a half an hour left on it. They would know where 'here' meant.

< All right. On my way > he called before he took off.

Ax had his comm ring hooked on one of his talons. Thanks to the very advanced technology it was constructed with, fortunately, it didn't weigh very much.
< Where should we meet? > he asked.
orz I'M SORRY I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS GUYS /faaaaaail
So much for that idea.
Alright, alright, I'm coming, he said through the rings, before starting to morph osprey. Somehow, Marco had the sinking feeling that Cassie didn't have good news.

"Our priority now has to be Iniss." Not Tom. Not Tom. "We need to find out what he's learned from us in the past few days." Jake tried to think back to their conversation, wondering if he'd said too much, confident in their imminent victory. "Either way, we can't let him go free."

<Woah! Back up,> Marco said, talking through the comm rings as well. <Did you just say Cassie's barn? What the hell is Cassie's barn doing here?!>
no subject
<All right, change in plans,> he commed with a slow grin. <Meeting in Cassie's barn!>

Ax gave them directions and landmarks as he investigated the barn. All of the cages were empty, but the barn itself seemed undamaged and from a near-familiar time period -- neither new and fresh nor old and decayed.
< It appears to be a safe meeting space, > he concluded.
moving along (gah for icon?)
She landed next to it and demorphed. Almost as soon as she could, she touched the door, the walls. Walking inside, she touched as much as she could. It felt like a long time since she was last in here and with this new situation, it was a comfort to at least have this.
Of course it was also confirmation that the worlds had to have been destroyed. Yet again she was washed with the thoughts of everything just being gone.
LOOK, THE BARN IS BEHIND HER!
<You guys here yet?> he called out. <Man, this is insane! Even Cassie's house is here! ...Hey, do you reckon there could be some Snickers or something left in there?>
Re: LOOK, THE BARN IS BEHIND HER!
Snickers. Mmm. That would be nice--
Jake shook himself of the thought. <Any idea how this happened?> he asked as he neared. It was funny how the barn, the house looked so familiar even through a falcon's eyes these days. If he didn't look too closely at the surroundings, didn't think too hard about recent events, Jake could drift overhead almost peacefully as he took in the welcome sight. Cassie wandering through her old house seemed to complete the picture, and Jake almost expected to hear the sound of animals as he landed in front of the barn.
Sure, they could probably have done this meeting in Cassie's living room or something - they sure didn't have to hide from her parents anymore, and he'd better not say that thought aloud - but it just seemed right. Despite his exhaustion, Jake forced himself to one last demorph, wanting to push open that door with his own hand and, just, sit on a bale of hay or something.

< Stacy and her previous crew have also abducted various landmarks, as you can see from the rest of the City, > he said. < We do spend a great deal of time here, perhaps it became important enough after the war to become a major landmark. >

sorry I thought she was already in the barn >.<
"At least they were able to stay there," she spoke with a small smile anyway. She had been unsure how the war ended. If either Tom or Rachel had survived. Marco didn't talk about it, and Cassie wasn't sure if she even wanted to know.

In hindsight, it had been stupid to let Iniss see all their faces. He had to be suspicious by now, why Stacy had picked up a bunch of kids instead of the so-called Andalite bandits. If he so much as suspected...
"Iniss is from a time when the Yeerks still think we're Andalites. If he knows too much... priority one has to be stopping him, not... not anything else."
no subject
Tom was gone. The Yeerk was gone.
Marco cursed. For once, he didn't feel much like joking either. "How the hell did he get away?" He demanded. They'd planned this, watched Tom like hawks - literally. They'd covered every possible angle. How could one Yeerk with an average human host get away from that?
He tried to focus, thinking of everything the Yeerk could know. "However he got out, he doesn't know we can morph," he said. "Back when I was pretending to be a Controller, I made up some story about there being a human resistance. He's gonna think we're just part of that. Considering how likely the Andalites are to give away their technology? The last thing he's gonna think is that we can morph."

Once everything was explained, most of the crew probably wouldn't have a problem with them. But explanations took time, and Ax would prefer to do so before people started attacking them.

As long as Iniss didn't know their most important secret, Jake could still tell himself that it wasn't that bad, they didn't need to do anything... drastic.
But Ax was right as well. There was no telling what they were up to now, Iniss and Dani, with Tom caught in between them. "I'm... not sure what our options are," he admitted. "Is there anyone we can get on our side, who'd believe us if we told them what Iniss - Tom - is? We'd find them faster with more eyes, and we need to find them before we can - " What, Jake? Kill them? " - do anything about them. Do we know anything about Dani's motivations?"
no subject
"As far as Iniss knows, the Yeerks have pretty much won in 'the future', we're all part of the small number of humans who managed to escape infestation and are part of the resistance, and he's Sub-Visser Seventeen. He might wonder how much of that is true now that he knows I'm not a Controller, but he's not going to have any way of proving otherwise.
"And the guys here know what Yeerks are. Ax-man, didn't a bunch of them attack one time, before the rest of us woke up? No way are they going to like having a Controller around."

"Fine. We make an announcement. Beware of Yeerk, but try to put your phasers on stun." He frowned down at his comm. "Can this reach everyone on the ship? Even - " Tom " - if we have no idea where they are?"

"Tom should be warned," he said quietly. "His Yeerk is... calculating. Maybe with everyone and the Flintstones after its neck, it'll decide the safest thing to do is make a deal with us. At least we want Tom alive. The rest of the ship might not care."
no subject
"Either way, he's going end up hearing about this anyway," Marco said, shrugging.

"Well, if we've discussed enough life-and-death for one day, you guys have got to show me how to use this thing right. And all the comm slang. I don't want to come across like Cassie's mom when we're making the announcement."

But he moved over to help Jake with the communicator anyway.
