Meetings and Things [Closed]

The Major asked to see him. In person.

Well, asked might be a bit of a stretch, but that's neither here nor there.

Regardless, he was willing to meet with her. She wasn't one to waste time, so he figured it had to be important. He told her to meet him at his office, where he was waiting for her now.

She didn't knock, but then she never did, and nor did she greet him verbally, which also wasn't unusual. Motoko didn't sit, but that was because none of the furniture in the precinct was sturdy enough to bear the weight of a military-specialized cyborg.

Instead, she folded her arms and regarded him across the desk, making a brief show of civility before launching into her questioning. Leon, after all, deserved at least that much politeness, "Tell me what the plans are, regarding Iniss 335."

"I'm sure you know how to handle the issue," she replied, with an even coating of sugar dusted onto it. She wasn't Leon's operative for no reason, after all. She trusted him to know when to flip command, counsel and public opinion the bird: the Major had signed onto this specifically in order to give him that option, when he needed it.

"Presuming it doesn't come down to that, what options is it being given?"

"I have a spare prosthesis in possessions that I'd like to offer for modification," she replied evenly, and here was the real purpose for this visitation, "It's a civilian model, about the right apparent age. Cosmetically, it isn't ideal, but that can be fixed if the roboticists feel up to it. It's the kind of thing that would allow for a remote access, if needed."

"Because it's one that will likely solve this to everyone's satisfaction, with a minimum of casualties," her smile was brief, but acidic, "Besides, I can hijack anything with a cyberbrain. It won't be able to do any real harm."

"Want my help?" Too mild, too mocking- she already knew where he was, of course. But someone who was indiscreet via a nonsecure network channel had no business acting offended when his information was passed away.

"He's been talking to someone on the network, a supporter. Apparently, it's hiding out in Hydroponics."
