Empty Hallowed Halls [Open]
How could Billy have missed this heart-wrenchingly familiar structure on all his prior trips to the City?
On a test flight of the RADBUG's improved engine, he'd happened to turn his head just the right way and spot the unmistakable scroll-like tops of a building that had been his second home for so long. The second it was spotted in the distance, he changed course and brought the car into a descent. Moments later he parked just outside the ground-level entrance.
So the only confirmed remnants of my world are myself, my Zord, the RADBUG, and the Command Center. Perhaps Tenaya as well, but her world seems to be radically altered. I highly doubt that Zordon and Alpha are inside waiting for me, but I need to investigate.
It pained him to admit it, but he was afraid of what he would (or wouldn't) find. But a Ranger never backed away from a potentially tricky situation. Even if they had to call for backup, which Billy decided would be wise when entering an abandoned building. In seconds, a quick note was typed out on his omnicom and posted.
As Billy studied the exterior he hadn't seen in what he guessed must have been almost a year, he turned his Power Coin in his palm. It seemed to feel more charged than usual. Likely to be a low-key reaction to its location, he thought.

Any other time, Pyro would have just remained silent. He'd long since gotten past the point where he needed to verbally communicate on the job. He'd been doing more of it lately than he would have liked, anyway. On the other hand, he had a feeling that wasn't going to change any time soon, and this place alone seemed to confirm that. May was well take this guy up on the offer. Pyro reached up and pulled his mask off enough so he could speak clearly.
"What kind of operation were you runnin' in here that you needed teleportation technology and huge vehicle bays, anyhow?" It didn't sound like a typical military organization. Not any more typical than RED, at least.

Soon enough, he's hooked onto the walls and started recovering metal. "The vehicle bays once housed Zords, our giant tank-like mecha. We needed those because our enemies had the ability to engorge their human-sized monsters to the size of a skyscraper. Stacy's relocated the Zords to the hangar and her own storage areas, so we no longer need these rooms."

"Wait. Giant robots." Pyro piped up. "You have giant robots."
That's awesome.

He wouldn't mention that it's a giant blue unicorn. Yet.

Here he thought that RED had the most cutting edge technology, but not even what Engineer could build sounded like it could stand up these Zord things. If they were around here somewhere...
"When we're done here, I wanna see these things." He just wanted to look at them. And sit in the cockpits.

While Billy admired his unicorn, he wasn't quite willing to share it with the world yet. Instead, he hooked onto a stripped portion of the wall and leapt up to claim some lighting fixtures.
"Lash wants to install death rays on all the mecha. I wonder if any of them 'breathe' fire?" That, in his opinion, was impractical but it would have sure made the Dragonzord look cool.

Pyro mused on that for a moment as he hacked away at some connectors. "Yeah, I could die happy if I ever saw somethin' like that."
He had seen plenty of death rays in his time at RED, but none of them on giant robots. Robots, he thought to himself, seemed to make everything that much cooler.

"I wish it was a narwhal. No such luck."
Those were the breaks, he thought as the salvaging process proceeded as smoothly as possible.
"Would you have one built for yourself it it were possible?"

"Me? Nah. I can build a weapon but vehicles are outta my league." He said. "This other guy I worked with, now he could build anything."
There was a cacophony of metal clattering to the ground as Pyro finally wrenched a wall fixture free, then stood back to admire his handiwork as it came crashing down. Not the most graceful.
"...So what is it, anyway?"
